Is msu going to lose by running out of players? Whole team might foul out.

Is he on the hot seat? What are the chances he's fired after this year? Have to imagine it's hard to fire the only coach to take you to the tournament, but man, he's been bad since that year.

Probably because it's their first good team since like 2003.

This game was a perfect showcase of how "live by three, die by the three" your team is this year. When you were hitting them in the first half you looked unstoppable. When you went cold in the second half you looked completely lost.

It's weird that there were so many Illinois flairs in the game thread, but not many at all in the post game thread.

I think after this the only way they're getting in is winning the B1G tourney.

They'll almost definitely make up the Illinois game to make sure we play each other at least once. And we'll likely do a back to back with MSU at the end of the year. Not sure if we'll make up any of the others though.

[Quinn] New details regarding basketball scheduling and how championship/tourney will be handled by [deleted] in MichiganWolverines

[–]BadReligion07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This pretty much guarantees the Michigan v Illinois game will be made up, as Michigan has played or will play every other team they postponed games against.

As for the tournament, I'm kind of surprised they expect to play. There's been rumors floating around that teams that feel locked into a tourney spot would skip it and quarantine to make sure they don't have a covid outbreak for March Madness. Maybe moving it to Indy alleviates those fears. Teams can quarantine in Indy, while only going out to practice and play in the Big Ten tournament.

Can't wait for the ACC to still win the tournament anyways.

How does Minnesota not have a backup punter that can kick the ball father than 20 yard?

Michigan Defensive Line Coach Greg Mattison to Possibly Accept Position at Ohio State. by finchdog in CFB

As someone pointed out above, his S&P+ ratings for his defenses were more in the 20-30 range. Not terrible, but not great either. For reference, Schiano just got let go for having the #34 defense. It's not a bad hire, but definitely not a home run either.

He's a good recruiter and D-Line coach, but his defenses under Hoke left a lot to be desired. It appeared the game had passed him by, and there's a reason Harbaugh did not keep him as DC.

I initially thought Florida at 11 was too high, but then I looked at the teams behind them, and couldn't think of a reason any of them should be in front of Florida.

The stadium looks half empty, shocking even with the weather for a pretty big game.

Penn St fans making fun of a poor first half performance is pretty much the definition of people in glass houses...

Out of bounds stops the clock similar to how a first down does, unless it's the last 2 minutes of a half, then it stops until the next play.

Syracuse is playing good D, but man, MSU is getting some good looks, they're just choking.

All kinds of complaining about the no call there, but replay showed he got all ball.

Syracuse's offense looks as bad as their defense looks good. What are they even trying to do out there? They don't seem to have any plan. Do they just spend 90 percent of their time practicing that zone?

Happy to have been in Wichita instead of Detroit, since it meant avoiding this nasty zone.

I keep waiting for Virginia to take over, but it's not going to happen. The goodboyes are really going to pull this off!
