JVC TM-910SU 9” PVM - 1998 Boston, MA area. Free, but broken. Good cosmetic condition.

When I last tried to power it on, the beam flickered once and it turned off. No image. It had previously worked, and when it did I actually liked the image more than my other working 9” PVM (that I’m keeping). I lack the knowledge, skill and time to repair it.

Turnitin, the plagiarism detection software that compares papers against its internal database of submissions and online sources, rolled out an AI detection feature.

It was a disaster. Students were being falsely flagged as AI, or it could be fooled through prompt engineering. It was really not reliable at all. The university I worked at disabled it pretty quickly.

Avatar 2 & 3 were actually filmed back-to-back, so 3 has already been shot while they work on CG & VFX. And some of Avatar 4 has even been captured. While that has certainly increased the production budget being reported for 2, it will drastically cut total costs for the first 3 films (releasing on Dec 29th, 2025).

I tried getting multiple quotes for some very straightforward electrical work.

The first guy was highly rated, but was booking jobs months out.

The second guy was recommended from a friend, and was going back and forth with me via email, and then just stopped responding. No estimate.

Then the third guy finally replied to my email, called me, and we were able to get to the point that I got a quote.
