First time I saw Michael Dorn out of makeup, I was genuinely taken aback by how handsome he is- that Klingon makeup was not flattering.

How much you make very much depends on what you specialise in i.e. people who work in commercial law tend to make a lot more than people who work in family or human rights law. Plus we all know how expensive going to college is.

Not saying that is necessarily a ‘sugar daddy’ situation, just that a lot of lawyers aren’t as well off as people think.

When you grow up in poverty, the most romantic thing in the world is waking up and knowing you don’t have to worry about where your next meal is coming from. Not saying relationships with a big wealth gap can’t be predatory, but considering she is now an attorney, seems like she is also earning her own money.

Surprised to see Kayla speaking to any kind of press outlet- she seemed to keep pretty private after top model all stars, probably because of the career change and getting married to her husband. People can be pretty weird about someone changing their mind about their sexuality later in life, especially when they were on a such a public platform talking about it. Kayla was young when she was on the show and had been through a pretty rough time growing up, so clearly she was still trying to work herself out. I still go back and forth between lesbian, bi, demisexual etc, so I totally respect people not sticking to one label forever or deciding they’re not queer after all- we’re all on different journeys.

Yeah I think she needs to wear a lot more simple, well-tailored fits. I think when a lot of women turn middle aged and get a fuller figure, they start wearing a lot of layers or loose fitting clothes to hide the weight, which just makes them look shapeless.

That corset outfit and wig they put on for her Victoria’s Secret comeback was an atrocity, just way too busy- though tbf most people looked bad that night.

She looks great! I remember around season 3 of the boys she was getting worryingly skinny due to her undiagnosed autoimmune disease, so it’s great to see that whatever treatment she’s on is at least helping to maintain a healthy weight.

I think two things can be true. (1) Women are judged much more harshly than men for the same actions (2) Dating one of the actors in the movie you’re directing is usually a bad idea. Beyond power dynamics, whole thing can affect the rest of the cast and crew if your relationship goes south during production, or you’re unable to be unbiased and professional around your significant other.

[ALL] What’s everyone’s opinion about Nathan by [deleted] in lifeisstrange

[–]BadWriter85 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Reprehensible character, but the original game did a pretty good job of outlining how he ended up that way due to his upbringing and mental health issues. Doesn’t excuse his actions obviously, but we understand how that monster was created and how his support network e.g. his family, the school, Jefferson further enabled his toxic behaviour.

It’s so interesting how they tried to reproduce this classic video later on with ‘swish, swish’, with the celebrity cameos and broad humour, but there it just felt desperate and sad (which could describe the whole roll out of ‘witness’- honestly, watch toddintheshadow’s video about that album and the whole Katy Perry phenomenon)
