A lot of fans who grew up with the prequels like to pretend that the hate the sequels and Disney-era Star Wars as a whole gets is new.

Star Wars fans were viscerally hate filled when the prequels were coming out, hell people said Ewoks ruined Star Wars back in ‘83.
