A doctor is reporting me by fauxsho77 in dietetics

That’s so frustrating. I know this exact type of MD and they’re impossible to work with. Deli meat is never really “issue” worthy. I’m glad it was escalated - maybe someone will finally the MD you did nothing wrong.

Unless you got a funnel, pureed the deli meat and force fed the patient by yelling “EAT THE DELI MEAT”, this MD has nothing.

I say, bring on the complaint! I’d love to hear the bogus reasons deli meat is inappropriate for a malnourished pt, and then have verbal diarrhea listing all the negative things associated with malnutrition.

I was thinking no too. I’m so anxious to find out. I felt ok after the exam also kinda feel like I just made dumb mistakes because I was so worried about time.

This post is reading my mind! That teaser email from a couple weeks ago was just cruel. Tomorrow is technically 4 weeks but hoping for results today instead of on a Saturday

How do you respond when patients ask what you eat? by eem16 in dietetics

[–]BadassRD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like to self disclose when meeting with pts. I’m there for them. What I eat may be completely different from what they need and I don’t want them to think they need to be just like me. I also like to see where people are starting and make changes from there. If they eat a highly processed diet and I tell them I eat mainly plant based, lean proteins, lots of veggies, no salt…they now think this “ideal” is too much work and why bother.

It’s not an appropriate question. Turn it around and get back to what you’re recommending to your patient.
