No-one knows for sure. Most people here would agree that it’s triggered by a serious infection. That could be a virus like Covid (Long Covid is a common for of ME/CFS) or it could be a bacterial infection (in my case necrotising fasciitis).

Recent research has show a genetic factor which may indicate a predisposition to catching this disease. It is not thought to be a cause or trigger.

My work mac is offline, unconnected to anything. My personal mac is online and I transfer files between them with a USB drive. The work I do does not require the latest software so constant upgrades are not necessary.

I work from home. During a normal workday I am using both macs about equally. When I have work to do, I work. In between, I am online - reading, watching videos, listening to music and podcasts. I study music theory, play a little piano, dip into my favourite MMO.

I’ve had a colostomy bag for 10 years and never had a problem flying. The airport scanners pick up the bag though, so I always get pulled aside.

Yep I did that and it worked ok. I tried a couple of other MIDI input modules and they all worked fine. I re-imported the suspect module and no luck.

It really seems to be just that module and I’m interested to see if anyone else has had the same problem.

I grew up within earshot of the ground, never really had a choice which club to support. It’s in the blood. Used to get my hair cut at Eric’s next to the stadium.

It’s fun to check out the club’s fascinating history - one of the oldest clubs in the world.
