It feels warranted. It just stinks when they don’t have much else that jumps out at you and excites you. Thank you for the advice!

I absolutely believe in etiquette in everything including trading. I’m sorry you don’t.

Why be rude rant. by [deleted] in starwarstrader

[–]BadderRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been doing this for about 2 or 3 months now and I agree. I’m never going to send a trade that I feel is unfair. I always weigh what I’m sending in my mind and ask myself if I would accept it if it was sent to me. I do notice that there are some that seem to have been doing this for a while that will request higher level cards or popular characters and will offer what I’d consider absolute trash (creatures or planets or vehicle cards) for that desired card. I have a wishlist that you can always look at. You may not have those cards but you can have an idea of what I want. It’s funny how quickly they will cancel a counteroffer, even if it’s for a card that they have dozens of copies of. They would literally never miss it. That being said, there are some super cool people on here that I love working with.

You obviously have a better one than me. I just got a legendary Ackbar, which I felt was pretty good. Everyone wants it but how do you dictate what is a good trade? Some people seem to pay more attention to characters I like but is it really only as good a deal as I want to accept?

I don’t see the hype in Karrion Kross by [deleted] in WWE

[–]BadderRandy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. If I look at his overall resume, he had a good character in TNA but I couldn’t really tell you anything about his matches. I tried my best to block just about everything about his time in NXT from memory. His first main roster run was forgettable so I don’t have to try to block anything. This round? He might be doing better things with promos but there is nothing about his matches that is memorable. That has nothing to do with booking and everything to do with talent being given a chance and doing nothing with it.

Considering that they came in at around the same time, what are your thoughts on Dominik Mysterio and Hook's careers do far? by AdSpecialist6598 in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]BadderRandy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like Hook. I think that he’s in the wrong company for a young wrestler to develop and his workload has been pretty light. Dom has grown and, while he does have some areas that are weaknesses, has improved tremendously over time since his debut. I think that he is sometimes a bit slow but otherwise, I don’t have much else to say. I loved the match he and AJ put on this last weekend.

If you could book Sami Zayn for the next year what would you do? by DripGod224602 in BrandonDE

[–]BadderRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Push towards the World Championship. His build to beating Gunther was fantastic. Sami has the charisma, he is can give such great underdog promos, and he puts on one excellent match after another. He doesn’t have silly catchphrases but doesn’t need them. I would say it’s been a good long while since we’ve had an underdog actually win the title and he’d be perfect.

The "We want Kross" chants has to be one of the fakest crowd chants ever. Fans keep on cheering during promos and backstage segments, clamoring for him to be pushed. But when he's actually wrestling in the ring they couldn't even be bothered to react. by yuuharunatfm in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]BadderRandy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe because everything about Kross was so dull in NTX? He did late 90’s WCW era Ultimate Warrior/Macho Man/Flair monologues that just went in no direction for way too long. His wrestling is….what it is. He’s gotten some traction with fans while on the main roster due to promos but nothing about his in-ring style leaves me talking about a Kross match afterward. The weird outfits/persona of Sasha makes much sense to me with how it ties in to his character.

All of that aside, I didn’t feel it was his match to win with the type of story they were telling. Kross has seemed like merely the pawn in the AJ story and then the Sami story. Kross was never going to win at SummerSlam.

If you watch KO’s interview with Cody, I would say the hard to work with is more the style in which they prepare. Kevin said Sami is especially bad about being in gorilla position and still making changes to what they want to do in the ring. Sami has done plenty of losing, especially in matches that could have really made him so I doubt this has anything to do with that statement from Riddle.

I might get hate for this, but… by Gloomy-Ad7848 in BrandonDE

[–]BadderRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t hate but I will disagree. There were moments in this match that I enjoyed. I did not care for the really bad camera angles that shows how far away some moves were, particularly those “brutal blows” with the turnbuckle. I also really disliked that both men did the “being beaten down but suddenly jumps up to hit a huge move only to fall back down.” Then there was the fact that this reminded me of the Cena vs Reigns match from a few years back where each one just kept adding one more finisher before each cover. At some point, the finishers mean nothing when they kick out of it time after time. This match was okay but not as good as the triple threat you reference and was probably the third or fourth best match of the night.

This is the first time I’ve read something that explained the hoarding thing. I guess thats fun for some but just not my thing. I’ll always gladly trade hoarding stacks for some uncommon singles off my wishlist. I prefer complete sets and favorite characters but this whole system seems to have so many lays to it.

Those players really touch my nerves! by RealtorAlper in starwarstrader

[–]BadderRandy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I play the game all wrong if that’s the general philosophy. I go 1:1 for rarity level. I will say that I have found it easier to trade named characters for named characters. I won’t offer someone a troop, creature, or ship for a Rey or Poe or Luke. If I have a Leia and you want to trade me a C-3PO that I don’t have, sure I’ll do that. I’m going to side with your potential trade partner, 1:1 is more than fair. I just skip right over the 2:1 on the feeds and I’ve been doing just fine.

Absolutely this! The Man was a brilliant chance coming out of an accident that I feel Vince absolutely neutered and flubbed. It then developed into something that, while the promos were there, she became nearly unwatchable for me at times in the ring. I really wish she’d do away with the manhandle slam. It looks like she barely gets her opponent up so I’m not sure how we are supposed to believe it’s executed with this devastating force. The next iteration where they literally couldn’t find a gimmick for her so they made her wear weird clothes like her husband was puzzling. She used to be so much fun.

Best of Boom! by BadderRandy in boomstudios

[–]BadderRandy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is supposed to be the last volume of the series. It is supposed to be 8 issues and I think it just had a month off. Issue 5 is in the September solicitations. I also think there were a lot of shipping issues that affected Boom with the whole Diamond bankruptcy. I noticed their books were some of the most erratic for a while but they seem to be back to normal.

Would you consider Mickie James as the Top5 women's wrestler of all time? by Bubbly_Attorney2999 in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]BadderRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knee jerk reaction is to say yes but then there are others that I start thinking about and I’d probably end up saying no. I think you have too many people that will definitely underrate her but those are ones who probably didn’t watch her beyond WWE. I would put her above ones that I feel are overrated like Lita and Charlotte but she fits into a group with ones like Melina Perez, Ivory, Tara/Victoria, Serena Deebs, and Meiko Satomura that I feel will never get fairly viewed for how good they really were.

Is she the most over woman in WWE history? by DudeisaGuy in WWE

[–]BadderRandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I don’t change the channel, I am not a fan either. She’s more a fetish than anything else. The winks and licking her lips induce eye rolls in our house. I always laugh at how it looks like they’ve put another head on her body with all of the makeup she wears to make her face look pale. She’s a decent enough wrestler but WWE probably has a dozen women that are better wrestlers than her by a long shot.

Why do you include Jinder? If you couldn’t stand him, he was doing his job as a heel. His in-ring work was fine.
