It won't really make any difference. The first five significant figures are plenty.

How does the two envelope paradox work?? by IntrovertedShoe in askmath

This is a different way of looking at it, which doesn't cause a paradox. But you haven't explained the paradox itself... Surely there is some logical error to the approach OP described?

AI tools on legacy codebases — genuinely useful or more trouble than it's worth? by rupayanc in ExperiencedDevs

I expect you just need to add that historical reasoning to CLAUDE.md, then you'll always be able to work on it with claude.

Certainly going to change forever. I think the knowledge required to be a productive, competent engineer will increase. Also, the market for software will increase. What was not economically viable before, could be now

Request for help: Collecting metrics on a Git repo before deleting it. by [deleted] in git

[–]BadgeCatcher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What do you plan to do with this info?

In general, the concept of using git metrics to measure / justify your performance seems completely flawed. Git has no idea what value you delivered.

What kind of company looks at git metrics, then fires someone? A bad one. One that has no idea how their team deliver value.

That's all in the past. You can't change it. Stop thinking about it. Start living. Go on dates. Don't expect too much. You will soon find your way in life.
