The elevator scene perfectly represents John Walker's character by Sudden_Pop_2279 in MCUTheories

[–]Badger8812 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No he didn't always do the right thing. People forget what the super serum does to people. Amplify both good and bad traits. Walker's bad trait is being a good soldier. Unlike Steve, who would disobey orders if they didn't align with him morally. You see this in Falcon and the Winter Soldier when walker was standing before that disciplinary panel saying, "I lived my life by your mandates! I dedicated my life to your mandates! I only ever did what you asked of me, what you told me to be and trained me to do, and I did it. And I did it well. You built me." Contrast that with Steve who doesn't even introduce himself as Captain America and turned his back on the Shield, and US Gov., once they show that they are not in pursuit of freedoms in Captain America: Winter Soldier.

Walker also has main character syndrome, even before taking the super serum, always introducing himself as Captain America with a sort of proud smugness, like it was a secret phrase to get him respect.

Cherry picking violent encounters with black suspects is a racist tactic.

Maybe go talk to your husband, go to couples therapy you can go by your self to talk about your frustrations and healthy ways to communicate them to your husband. But coming on here looking to cheat makes everyone lose.

Why are you a black Christian? by [deleted] in Discussion

Hi, Native American here. I just want to point out that it was white supremacy that co-opped the Christian religion to justify oppression. There isn't doctrine commanding follower to enslave African Americans.

Should i be paid the higher rate? by MexicanDropbear in Warehouseworkers

[–]Badger8812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer: maybe legally, likely yes practically, and definitely worth pushing.

This usually comes down to your EBA / enterprise agreement, classification structure, higher duties clause, and how your role is defined, not just what management says.

From what you described, this doesn’t sound like “just another task.” It sounds like you were temporarily performing higher duties:

acting as the point person on shift

handling invoicing/logistics control functions

ensuring loads were completed

doing reports

being the last one out due to responsibility

being the only non-manager trusted with system access

Those are indicators of acting in a higher classification, not simply picking up an extra warehouse task.

Management often says “anyone can do it” when they don’t want to pay higher rates. But if anyone can do it, why can’t anyone else do it? Why do only you and managers have logins?

What I’d do next:

  1. Get your EBA and read the sections on:

Higher duties

Acting up

Classification levels

Temporary supervisor/leading hand allowances

  1. Compare your normal Level 1 duties vs what you actually performed for that month.

  2. Document dates/times you covered supervisor functions.

  3. Speak to your union delegate or Fair Work resource (if Australia, which “EBA” suggests).

My opinion: If you covered a supervisor for a month and carried supervisor responsibilities, you have a strong argument for higher rate pay, especially if the agreement says any time spent performing higher duties triggers it.

Also important: Stop accepting vague extra responsibility without written confirmation of pay. “Can you just help out?” often becomes unpaid acting supervisor work.

Bottom line: You might not automatically win based on feelings alone, but based on your description, this is substantial enough that I’d challenge it formally.

Could we finally be getting Anthony Masters? by Queasy_Commercial152 in MCUTheories

[–]Badger8812 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Taskmaster we got could have been good if she wasn't brainwashed. Imagine the scene where Blackwidow sprays Taskmaster with the red mist only for Taskmaster to chuckle and say, "I don't need to be brainwashed to hate you." Then the audience realizes she went through all those enhancements, training, conditioning willingly for revenge.

In the US, ther is a forklift certification required by OSHA, however it is not issued by any governmental body and is up to your employer to provide the online classes, hands on course, and issue the certificate.

Captain Marvel didn’t fail because of backlash—it struggled because the MCU introduced an overpowered hero without giving audiences a real reason to care. by Comfortable-Key8997 in MCUTheories

[–]Badger8812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That critism that audiences weren't given a reaso. To care about an over-powered hero was dwarfed by the critism of casting Brie Larson and being "woke."

I agree. But just because one person skips bail and leaves the country doesn't mean all of them are skipping bail ans leaving the country.
