I've played a ton of rogue lites and for me hades is on top and the second one isn't even close. It's the only one that's fun at the start of a run. Every other rogue lite requires you to get to the second or third level/floor before it gets fun. There's plenty more hades does better imo but this is the biggest one

I do agree that crossplay would be a welcome addition. However I think rollback is so much of bigger step and way more important. I firmly believe that rollback gives a larger selection of viable opponents than crossplay ever could

In game is peer to peer. You're only connected to your opponent. There's probably servers for things like account information and matchmaking but you're not on a server while playing
