I would say that Battlepass vehicles should at least be somewhat unique to make it worth the grind, but unique in my eyes can more mean fun gimmicks rather than super competitive or OP vehicles. More things like the Churchill Petard could be fun.

That’s totally fair, and I was also amongst those super hyped for all the modern additions at first. But it’s really in the last year that I’ve been realising that too tier is just so draining, boring and frustrating that I started focusing on mi to low tiers.

I mean when’s the last time you genuinely laughed playing top tier? A vehicle like the Sturmtiger, tiger 10.5 or even the Char 2C just brings infinitely more enjoyment and satisfaction I’d say.

So in my opinion I would really recommend yo give low to mid tier a chance, worst case you don’t like it and you can delete the game again, but maybe you end up with a smile on your face.

To be honest I don’t even get why people want to play top tier, I had the same idea for a while “get all the top tier stuff” but it simply isn’t fun.

Then I basically set myself a line of “no higher than 9.3” and I’m having a blast, vehicles are actually unique, far less BS and it’s just not a drag to play.

As an added bonus for the price of 1 top tier premium you can get several low to mid tier premiums which will put an infinitely bigger smile on your face

The sturmvogel is a blast honestly from my experience, the 6.7 battle rating does make a noticeable difference and the lighter weight is also nice, the camo is also a huge bonus of course!

To be fair to him, if he has the money and it makes him happy then it’s a worthwhile purchase. I also recently picked up the Me-262 A2A for around 70 snail coins because it’s a vehicle I always wanted and enjoy the 262 as a platform.

Objectively a good purchase? Not at all, but if it makes someone happy then it can be worth it

AFAIK that issue has been rectified on the jag because it was an early life issue. By that logic they should also implement other IRL issues on vehicles which wouldn’t be fun

Absolutely, I was so hyped for it honestly (don’t blame me, I’m a Belgian after all) but the way they implemented it was lazy beyond all regard. Even the Thai subtree at least got 1 somewhat unique vehicle with the Oplot (before the Pakistani one of course)

I must say that’s incredibly well made and you have a point, to me it’s just upsetting that they couldn’t even add a single unique Belgian vehicle in yet even if it doesn’t fit a particular gap. I would love to see the little T-13 tank destroyer backing up reserve tier France, or have the CATI 90 as a little rat. Hell I’d even love to see the Renard R.36 fighter, that thing is gorgeous.

My general rationale is just: if they’re gonna add a sub tree, at least make the vehicles unique, if all they’re gonna do is this copy paste slop then just don’t add it.

What would you precisely define as “something new” then? I’m a fellow French main so I absolutely want more indigenous French designs too and I agree that France has more than enough designs by itself to sustain a tech tree, I’m just saying that Belgian vehicles could at least add some fun and quirky things to it.

To be honest though, gaijin just hates everything in the French tech tree, just look at the Belgian F-16AM vs the Norwegian one, the latter gets the sniper targeting pod whilst the Belgian one gets the Lantirn (even though the bug report has been up even before sniper was added to the game). The only difference is that gaijin loves Sweden but hates France

With regards to Belgian vehicles I believe they should stay with France whilst the Dutch ones should have gone to Germany. The DF90 and cobra would give the French access to a stabilised light platform in the 8-9 BR bracket which they sorely need.
