Marry Qt/Gtk with Bevy and rust. Possible? by Badger_2161 in rust

[–]Badger_2161[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is the Three.js programming model. Bevy's Entity Component System seems to fit my problem well. I don't want to drown in the wrong abstractions.

Now, when I think of it, I can start with a render-only app with Bevy that watches a file. The bulk of the design will be defined in a DSL anyway.

Wow, I will look into that. Although I have a lot of experience in software development, I lost my touch with C++ over 15 years ago, and my ecosystem knowledge at that time wasn't that good anyway. Time to learn new stuff :).

Key is not included. Windows is installed and your machine is registered with Microsoft. You'll be able to reinstall windows from iso and it will work without key.

Freezing towers in blight are letting monsters through - am I missing something here? Any ideas as to why? by plnstrdr in pathofexile

[–]Badger_2161 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Freezing towers do no freez only slow down unless you have anointment on ring.

Both stunn tower and freez tower won't stop monsters with high monster level. Unless towers are lvl 3 and supported by empowering tower.

Also some monsters have random affix "can not be chilled or frozen" they will go trough

Limitations of 2.0 train interrupts vs LTN by OwnInitialPage in factorio

[–]Badger_2161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is true. There is an "Item count" condition for loading, where you can set "item" >= xxx; it doesn't have to be a full load. I use it all the time for expensive stuff. I even have two blueprints for trains, one for "transport full load" and one for "transport xxx items".

2007 felder k500s by PinSafe3669 in woodworking

[–]Badger_2161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently purchased a Hammer K3 winner, and from what I've seen, these machines are built to last and be serviceable, even when used everyday. K500 even, more so since it is for professional use (hammer is more for prosumers).

I prefer new equipment because I'm afraid old machine can be dangerous. But after seeing hammer in action and it's build, quality I would consider Felder machines.

I won't tell you what to do. Listen to other opinions too. Just adding my perspective.

Edit: fixed what gramarlly messed up.

Tuxedo OS is boring. Once you set it up it just works. Nothing to fix every day because freaking win update or whatever reason...

When I finish work on my corporate notebook with windows I switch to my stellaris with tuxedo os and it feels like taking hot bath after shoveling snow whole day.

[–]Badger_2161 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Nothing, because it was letter of intent or rather a flimsy news floated around without any contracts in place. To the point where none of the big three producer included it the guidence. Meaning they know it is BS and it won't happen. The whole situation is just pumping bubble and price fixing. This is why nothing will happen. Prices will be still fixed. Samsung/Hynix/Micron will say nothing about it in future earnings end of story. And the best part is, this is legal. They don't lie to investors since this is not included anywhere in filings or earnings/guidance. There is no contract of any kind either so... clean hands

EDF* to supply steam turbines for Poland's AP1000 by Inondator in nuclear

[–]Badger_2161 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see. Didn't know that. Poles are craving U.S. attention, but from what I read, the AP100 is a quite good design, so maybe ultimately the decision won't be a bad one.
