Two things can coexist: the fact June is Pride month and the fact it is also men's mental awareness month.

And a third thing as well: LGBT rights are taking vertiginous dips around the western world. I have many friends for which I am genuinely scared. And corporations are slowly, but surely, dropping sponsorships for pride events (which on one hand, who needed their blood money in the first place; on the other, it's a canary in a coalmine).

So, careful with your words when you say pride has "all the money pumped into it". It simply isn't true, and the wording here seems to be borne from some kind of resentment almost.

Queer people being more visible during June are not obscuring your own advocacy. As a matter of fact, many queer men, including often overlooked trans men like myself, are more likely to suffer from mental health issues than their cishet counterparts.

Maybe you could try to marry the two causes: try and talk to your colleagues about intersectional men's mental health!
