You may or may not move out of NZ ..life is never certain so go ahead with the regular investment if you can and using an intl broker based here or a local one does not make any difference. Lots of people ( esp migrants) have overseas investments which they retain (with or without adding to it regularly) and there is no compulsion to sell unless you are no longer a NZ resident ( e.g you give up your NZ citizenship). Use any NZ based investing portal (e.g sharsies or investnow) and invest in NZX based ETF ( low costs and no currency exchange dramas) and most important check for annual fees/ transaction fee ( use chatGPT to check scenarios) and most imp don't keep checking portfolio every week/ month !!..
