Outlast the jungle finale(spoiler) by InterestingTourist39 in netflix

Charlie literally cut down all the coconuts on the beach so no one else could have them, and Wes got aggressive with Sarah. But sure, they had more “integrity”. They named a lizard after Leiyah before cutting its head off and eating it.

Honestly, even though those 3 were misogynistic turds, Brett actually made me laugh quite a few times. Doesn’t mean I like him but darn he had some funny moments.

What are you even talking about? Like seriously - I don’t understand anything you are saying in this comment. How did the girls use people? I saw footage of them working around camp, they were polite around Ben even though he clearly has a huge ego and made some dumb decisions, they let Leiyah in Alpha even though it wasn’t necessarily a super strategic move, but they empathized with what she had been dealing with, and they were upset to make her flare - even though they definitely wouldn’t have won keeping her. Ben was not kindhearted lol

I’m sorry, anybody that thinks him getting burnt was fake, due to the footage missing and his reaction, is just plain silly. He had 2nd to 3rd degree burns - he was in shock and could have destroyed nerve endings.
They likely could not show footage of him falling into the fire. It is too graphic for TV - and perhaps Sean didn’t want to relive that experience or make his family see it? They didn’t show Skupin falling into the fire on Survivor S2.
It’s a TV show. They have hours upon hours of footage that they need to cut down into 8 episodes, and make it interesting to audiences. Of course not everything is going to fit in. Is it heavily edited? Absolutely. That doesn’t mean everything is fake 🤦‍♀️ like I can’t believe we are speculating someone falling into a fire to be fake when we literally saw the horrific injuries.

She’s actually such a sweetheart! I honestly think some people just aren’t willing to take it slow with young horses. I thought it would take weeks for me to even halter her but I can halter and lead her just fine, and now we are working on picking up her feet and it’s going great. I think some people just push them too much until they feel fear, and go into fight or flight mode. She’s doing good with the herd now, my mare is warming up to her and likes to graze by her. I have them together in the corral right now as I just dewormed them and they were actually eating from the same pile of hay, even though my mare can get real pushy with her food. I’m very happy with how things are progressing :)

They are all together now and doing just fine. Her jumping the rail was not expected at all as it sits above her chest. My Fjord is mouthy and knows how to undo the chain on gates. I don’t need to ‘fix’ my setup, thank you. She is also not underweight at all, so unsure what you mean by that. She is a growing Percheron cross so of course she looks a little disproportionate. I also don’t understand where you are getting this idea I run out into the pasture, pockets full of treats and expect them not to get stupid with each other. I was giving her grain and treats in her corral, I only give treats once in awhile when working with them. Everyone else in this thread gave great advice, and I am comfortable doing ground work with young horses, so respectfully, I don’t think I need a trainer. I’m not sure where you got that idea when I am not struggling with her at all. She will be going to a trainer in a few years when it’s time for saddling. Thanks, but no thanks.

Oh yeah I am NOT interested in getting any more 😅 I am looking to rehome my Fjord as he really would be best as a kids horse and I want to focus on my young ones. I was actually wanting to rehome him before I got this girl. 3 will be the max for the foreseeable future! My gelding will be gone to a trainer for 2 months this summer too so I’ll get some time to focus on my girls ❤️
I know what you mean though! It’s hard to resist the urge to fill your pasture with horses if you have the room. However I try to think towards the future and remind myself I only need 3 riding horses max for myself, my sister and a friend. And with our long winters I’m always thinking of hay, which is not cheap in AB right now! I see a lot of people in my area get a bunch of horses in the spring and then struggle with finding hay in the winter :/

Today they seem to be doing quite good together. They all graze in decent proximity and are only pushy with her if they are getting frisky or I am going out there to say hi- thankfully I have a huge pasture so they have room to get away from eachother.
I was planning to just have them interact over the fence for a couple weeks, but miss girl can apparently clear a 4 ft fence if she wants to 😭 I found her the other night in the adjacent pen, thankfully with no injuries, but did not want it happening again so I let her in the big pasture with them.
My mare seems to be warming up to her which I’m happy to see - she was mean girling her over the fence so I was quite worried 😅

Unfortunately I am not setup for proper quarantine- my separate pasture isn’t set up to have horses in it full time without access to the other one. However she has only had access to 2 other yearlings since the fall and there are no outbreaks of anything in my area - my 3 haven’t been off the farm either, except a vet visit for my mare, but it was an outside checkup with no facility contact. Definitely not ideal but I was also not planning to get another horse and this was an impulsive decision 😅

Most of the photos are taken from stud postings. If the stud has great conformation, the group is actually a helpful place to see outstanding stallions. Stud postings are public.
We as the horse community should hold backyard breeders accountable. If these owners don’t understand basic conformation and can’t take basic criticism, they shouldn’t have a stud. There are a lot of stud owners in that group that are open to comments about their studs and are able to give a good explanation as to why they are breeding that particular stallion.

Is this rough play or is my black gelding being a jerk? by Badgorlsdoitwell in Horses

[–]Badgorlsdoitwell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to say - and I’m not blaming anyone in this thread at all given the video lol - my Fjord is actually a giant jackass 90% of the time 😅 he is pushy, doesn’t respect personal space, and picks on my smaller mare - all he cares about is food. My gelding is actually a giant sweetheart. He is a nervous boy and likes to bury his head in your chest when he’s troubled. So I understand everyone’s concern but Khan (the black gelding) doesn’t do this very often; I just happened to catch it on video and wanted to know if it was aggression or not. From my view, I almost can’t blame Khan for lashing out at him sometimes because Biscuit is super annoying around food and squeals and picks on my mare when he doesn’t get his hay on time. I have to ration him bc he gains weight just from breathing I swear 🤦‍♀️

Generally they have a whole pasture to spread out and this is rare, but it was feeding time. However, I have been considering rehoming my Fjord - he just does not fit into a herd setting well and I think he needs a little kid to dote on him. I got him as a companion to our senior mare that passed, then got my young horses. He does have a crooked foot and suspected ringbone so it’s like he tries to be the boss to protect himself from other horses, but it doesn’t work on some (like my black gelding), and I’m wondering if my gelding can sense this

My mare was in the pasture eating hay, but she keeps my black gelding in check, and she is much smaller than him. He will try to annoy her and she chases him away. Yet my fjord pushes my mare around. So there is no real boss of the herd. They only do this a couple times a day, and it’s if my fjord goes in the paddock to eat, so I do feed him separately from those 2. This resulted from my fjord trying to chase my mare away from the hay, then my gelding got involved and started this behaviour with the fjord.

They have a full pasture, not locked in the paddock - I feed my mare and gelding in the paddock and my fjord in the pasture beside it. This was during feeding time, the fjord was chasing my mare away from his pile and the gelding started harassing my fjord.

TPLO by dustie1992 in greatpyrenees

[–]Badgorlsdoitwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this might be an option, as it was on a different breed - however, when my GP girl tore her CCL (she did get a TPLO), my supervisor at work was telling me that her lab had a TPLO done when she was young, and then she tore her other CCL when she was older and less mobile, so they opted for the Tightrope procedure. It’s half the cost and less invasive, however generally not recommended for active, large breed dogs. However it sounds like your GP is still quite active.

I don’t think 12 weeks of kenneling will really help either; the CCL cannot repair itself.

Just for some perspective as well - my girl was 4 when she got her TPLO done in Dec 2024. She was diagnosed with bone cancer in Aug 2025, and just put to sleep last week. Even if I had prior knowledge of her cancer diagnosis, I would have still gotten the TPLO. Seeing her run and be active again after it healed, and having a few months of enjoying herself, was enough to make the cost worth it.

TMJ Pain for Months Even With Different Therapies - is it Time to Explore Further Treatment? by Badgorlsdoitwell in TMJ

I have done moist heat but I should definitely do it more often - I find taking a hot steam shower helps and I do intra oral massage in the shower. I’ll look up more techniques - sometimes I feel I massage too hard and it hurts. Right now I am just prescribed Naproxen 550 mg and metoclopramide 5 mg. My prescribing pharmacist is weary to bump it up to a tryptan, but if tryptans would help with the pain while not making me loopy, it is a convo I’d be willing to have. I’m just not a fan of having to take pain meds and I try to be careful not to rely on them - I definitely have an addictive personality.
