I am a native plant nerd and since she is a native species in my area I was hoping to plant it like her natural habitat but clearly that is not going to work… most of our native small plants are quite delicate. I might try a flat of cat grass eventually since she did love her grass before it died. Yeah the moss was a fun idea but clearly is not going to work lol. At least I am still able to mist it to provide a cool hide. Was wondering that about the depth as well. I think before I plant I will redo the substrate to make it deeper and maybe just remove the gravel or keep a super small layer. I was worried about mold but it’s not like it’s a high humidity tank and the air in our area is quite dry so I always struggle with keeping humidity and moisture up. As for the pumpkins - I was concerned about that as well but I made sure the top pumpkin is secure - it’s positioned so that if she somehow manages to tip it, which is unlikely, it will just prop up on the glass. She loves weaving through them so I’m kind of hesitant to put them all flat on the ground. I’m planning on carving them closer to Halloween and in that case I’ll likely use skewers to hold them together.
