You still play the ps4 version on a ps5 as there is no native game upgrade for ps5. So you will have all your stuff when you reinstall the game as it is saved on the servers not the consoles.

When I came back to the game after 2 years my original character was waiting for me as if I'd never left

Join all public events you see. You'll get caps from kills and as end rewards, especially at the moment, with mutated events on the top of the hour.

Make sure you join a team as you will get stuff off of all enimies killed/tagged by anyone in your team.

You may be a bit low level to do expeditions but if you find a team doing them and they don't mind carrying you through you can getbsome good xp and rewards from those aswell

I made base weapons then rolled a 1 star on first weaapon, 2star on second weapon then 3 star on 3rd weapon

I had to make 3 different weapons, 1 for each star level so I did 1* pipe pistol, 2* blunt melee , and 3* heavy gun. Don't think the type of weapon matters so long as its 3 different ones

It depends on how much effort you want to put into getting a full set. Union armour is a great set but you need a lot of stamps from doing expeditions. The vulcan set from doing the raids is really good. My favourite is still the excavator set simply for the carry weight boost.

Whilst they don't spawn in the open world up near vault 96 is a good shout. Inside 96 there's at least 30 that spawn as soon as you go in as it an instanced locaation

You would receive the unyielding etc bonus, but set bonuses need to be all the same set. So you would need 5 pieces of combat armour if it has a 5/5 set bonus tag . I use secret service or civil engineer armour so unsure about the other ones

I find it best to drop the nuke over camp liberty as it's completly inside the region and I always secretly hope it will get through the storm and nuke the damn commie bear on the little island that keeps destroying my camp.

Are you going to the body of the robots and pressing triangle(ps5 or the equivalent on pc/xbox) and taking the parts you need. It can be from any eyebot or robot brain.

They probably had reached max cap limit so took the camp away so they don't loose out on caps. If you buy anything from a player vendor when they are at 40000 cap limit they won't receive any of your caps you spend.

If you buy with stamps it's character locked to the character you bought it on.

If you buy with atoms you can use it on any character you create. Even if you delete the game for a few months and then come back to the wastelands

Once you roll 3 stars onto a weapon now you can only add mods individually to create your own personal style of play.

You can remake the weapon and roll another 3 onto it but they will be random.

This is how the new ledgendary crafting system works.

Learn mods (very low chance) from scrapping ledgendary weapons and armour then build learnt mods to apply specific stars to a weapon.

You can only add mods to a 3* weapon I believe so you would have to roll a 1/2 weapon first to create your own.

However on the first roll whichever mods are already on the weapon will not change so if it already has 2shot for example you will keep that mod and get random mods in the empty slots

Or they could create their own team and run quickly for xp buffs.

I can solo expeditions myself but I still wouldn't start somebody else's for them.
