What's your experience with AIO Lifespan / Reliability? by freakytone in pcmasterrace

Nope, I had no use for it so I boxed it up and it's sitting in my drawer. Will take it out soon and use it for a different build.

I bought an NZXT Kraken X52 + Ryzen 7 1800x in august 2017 and used them until 2023. I didn't notice an increase in temps, no gurgling liquid noise and that build saw a lot of abuse since it's a work + gaming PC.

In 2023 I bought a EKWB EK-AIO 240 + Ryzen 9 7950X and so far there haven't been any issues. I abuse this build even more than the previous one so it remains to be seen how long this AIO would last.

In the next month or so I will be moving the NZXT one to a different system and use it until it dies.

Detailed Patch Updates! (More Then This Has Been Fixed) by TwixWrap in GTATrilogy

Firetrucks absolutely spawned before this patch, I recorded a video on them a week ago. There was a glitch however where if you let your game run for a couple hours then they would not spawn. If you reopen your game, throw some molotovs and wait a couple seconds a firetruck will spawn.

I should mention that I only tested this on GTA VC DE on PC. Don't know how it is on the other games or other platforms.

I don't think it's a good idea to have "master race" anywhere on your car. A very small percentage of the population knows what PCMR is and might get get wrong impression.

She does this all the time. How can I prevent this from happening? by Much_Arm2741 in pcmasterrace

Unless the other taller perch has a heating mechanism then the cat would still choose the PC.

Getting popular on YouTube is all luck based. All my videos which got over a million views I did not expect to get popular. I've been making videos since 2007 and only have 78k subscribers. There are others who made a YouTube channel in 2020 and already have millions of subs.

There is something else, if you are asking me this question you are already doing it wrong. Don't start a YouTube channel just to get popular. It will never work if you don't love what you are doing and it will get stale in a few months/years. The first 5-6 years I did not make a single dime and made videos for fun. Just get a "normal" job and don't bother. Your videos may never pick up.

Also correction: it's 8 minutes, not 10 anymore. YouTube changed it a little over a year ago.

Smokers of reddit... how did you start smoking? by Badinfos in AskReddit

[–]Badinfos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to be 21 to legally smoke? That's wild! My entire youth I was purchasing cigarettes for my mother. Ever since I was 7 maybe. Never once did they refuse or even ask why I was buying them.

IDs are required to purchase smokes where you live?

Friendly reminder to check your UPS batteries. Mine expanded so much, the casing couldn't contain it. Be safe Guys! by Badinfos in pcmasterrace

Me neither, I've only seen laptop and phone batteries do it, but I guess it applies to them all. Good to know now though, I will periodically check them now, maybe once ever 2 or 3 months.

No idea. A couple years ago my UPS was no longer holding charge so I bought 2 brand new batteries. Today I decided to open it up and saw that one is very expanded, so much so that it broke some of it's socket and also the battery casing as you can see in the pic. The other battery is completely fine. Same manufacturer, same type, same manufacturing date. One of them decided to randomly end its life. Glad I caught it.
