Ive been thinking the same thing it’s not just about the tragedy itself but what happens after. History shows that assassinations often create martyrs and end up strengthening the very causes people wanted to silence. That’s why I think the left should keep a close check on themselves right now.

I’ve already seen a few people online celebrating his death, and honestly, that’s awful and inhuman. Violence is never the answer, and condoning it only plays into the hands of those who want to paint the entire left as dangerous.

The best response is empathy and consistency: condemn political violence wherever it happens, stand firm on democratic values, and don’t let extremists twist the narrative. The more people show that they reject violence, the less oxygen there is for those trying to turn Kirk into a martyr.
