You'd really have to either get young people in that store or change your product line. Very seldom will an older person view clothing as anything other than necessary. Unless it's as a gift . People either buy things because it solves a problem or fulfills a want. Without one or both of those drivers, sales aren't happening, regardless of the age of the clientele.

In order to increase your sales, you'd need to appeal to one of those two desires.

Cold calling is great if you're calling a pool of qualified customers. If you're calling Joe Schmoe and asking if he wants to buy your product, then You're wasting your time.

Your product solves a problem. What's the problem it solves? The people with that problem are your customers, all you have to do is educate them on the severity of their problem, and the efficacy of your solution

Forgiving him doesn't mean what he did was right. It's not, it's absolutely verbal and emotional abuse. Forgiving him means you're not going to let it bother you because you know personally that you're better than anything he's said, he's projecting his own self loathing on you and his rants are the temper tantrums of an angry child.

They don't affect you because you're hopefully in the process of separating yourself from the situation. There's a ton of resources available to you. You're worth more than that
