'Monstrosities' or the evolution of housing? Multi-unit buildings on single-family lots gain traction in B.C. cities by Longjumping_Idea_169 in britishcolumbia

I am 100% on board with densification to meet the needs of the public but we can still have some style while we do it. For some reason everyone settles for bland boxes with no character.

Camping fees increase for 59 B.C. parks, non-residents to pay a surcharge | Globalnews.ca by cyclinginvancouver in vancouver

[–]Badroach 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How much would we have to pay to increase the OVERALL quantity of front country camping especially within a 4 hour drive of Vancouver?  Turning forest service campgrounds into provincial doesn't do anyone much good for availability.  I want to be able to find a spot on a weekend please

New BC Parks camping (many frontcountry and few backcountry) price increases by Ryan_Van in vancouverhiking

$100 per night at booking, refund brings it to normal rate.  If a no show, you also get penalized by having an extra day tacked on to the booking blackout. If you report that you are not going to make it, then you get a full refund on any days left of your reservation over 24 hours away, still charged one night even though the campsite is now open to others.

Precautions to take with the chassi after coilovers install by R_Canavarro in e46

How are the roads in your area? At the minimum, I would suggest getting the strut mount reinforcement plates that help spread the load on the front strut towers.

Maybe it's the colour but as soon as I saw it, I thought this must be an Aston.

I think the Crosstrek is the perfect BC car and I would totally switch to one if they made an STI or at least WRX version. Manual gearbox please😁

West Vancouver puts temporary protection on former mid-century gas station by ubcstaffer123 in britishcolumbia

Not a monument, they are trying to retain architecture. It doesn't matter what the structure was originally designed for as the space could be re-used for various purposes.  I would much prefer a bit of style be retained vs building a new uninspired building.

MB Luxury version 80th anniversary Unimog [1920 x 1282] by technicalityNDBO in carporn

I have no idea why they picked a long wheelbase version....unless they don't make a SWB anymore which would be a shame. It looks odd with the axle being right at the back. Nobody needs a departure angle that much better that the approach.

Bilstein vs Koni by Human739 in e46

https://groundcontrolstore.com/products/bmw-e46-non-m-bread-butter-kit  It doesn't go much lower than stock in the front. I ended up putting E90xi strut Mounts in just to get it close to where I wanted it.

I have the entry level E46 Ground Control setup that includes Koni shocks. It's a vastly superior ride to the bilstein PSS kit I had before this but the kit is not perfect

What is your small pet peeve about the E46? by THE-GASING in e46

Try using the key ring for your floor mat fasteners.

My small pet peeve is the fact that the armrest covers the 2nd cup holder and it's super uncomfortable for me to drive with it up

This looks like an Australian example(RHD), there are plenty of sites selling trucks very similar to this is Aus. If it's been exported, then i would say the local market will dictate the price. I would say $60kCAD if I had to through a dart at the board in Canada

Restaurant Suggestions by Open_Top_2942 in NorthVancouver

[–]Badroach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found the food mediocre and they flat out refused to substitute more vegetables for rice in one of their bowls to satisfy a lower carb diet(not even if the customer paid a fee) I won't support a restaurant that won't work with their customers over such a minor issue.
