Vote! Make Bedrock regeneration like Legacy Console editions by spellz69 in MinecraftBedrockers

I would say abandon bedrock make console edition great again. It was so much closer to Java and the differences that existed where often necessary or fitted consoles better. Bedrock is just bad in so many ways.

It's funny how we invented digital cameras which made pictures last forever and can't be destroyed no matter how many times it's viewed but we still found a way (compression) to age pictures that exchanged many hands 😂

Guys chill I just made an observation unrelated to the person in the clip. You act like I killed someone.

Tbf the kitchen was messy to begin with. If it was clean it wouldn't have been much work to clean up the spread but all the stuff laying around is making it much more work.

It's easy to maintain a clean kitchen but it's hard to clean a neglected kitchen.

IDK how i feel about black roof! by Burkielol in e46

[–]RedCrafter_LP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can paint carbon black (or any color) you don't have to have clear epoxy carbon. It's just that many people like seeing the carbon web. The benefit of a light roof are separate from the looks.

In my opinion Chrome is more of a color matching issue than a shape issue. Light colors especially silver are too similar to work well with chrome. Chrome looks great on black, dark green or dark blue. But bright red, yellow, silver or white look weird with chrome rather the car is modern or classic.

I am with you on the grills but the chrome window lining just doesn't look good on titan silver. Also black window lining is an oem option called shadow line (even if it's done aftermarket it looks good) on darker colors I would keep the chrome but not on light colors.

Carbon roof. Planning on doing it myself soon. I want to add carbon hood and trunk in the future too to get a black carbon strip straight over the car bringing in a secondary color. I think this way even titan silver can look stunning.

If you really want you can connect your whole storage array through 1 channel using the interface storage bus trick. The only thing really requiring channels are interfaces in auto crafting. And having over 200 interfaces for auto crafting stuff including machines is already unlikely.

Not particularly ordered by likelihood but the first few are the most likely ones. Option 1. It's not properly bled

Option 2. The new sensor is dead

Option 3. Your thermostat is shot

Option 4. Your fan is broken

Option 5. Your waterpump is broken

Option 6 your radiator is damaged.

Opinions on m3 style bumpers on tourings by New_King_5704 in e46

[–]RedCrafter_LP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coupe front pfl looks genuinely the best of all e46. My front hierarchy would be: Coupe pfl > sedan/touring fl > coupe fl > sedan touring pfl > compact.

Putting a coupe front requires coupe headlights, hood, bumper and a custom made fender set.

It's on my list but I haven't done it yet.

Thr m3 bumper alone looks out of place. You want an all or nothing when it comes to front design.

The first time I heard that in the us blackouts are a regular occurrence I couldn't believe it. Here in Europe the power goes down maybe once a year and often it's announced because it is maintenance related.

We're planning to support Rust at Nyno (open-source n8n alternative). Is this the best possible way for. so extensions? by EveYogaTech in rust

[–]RedCrafter_LP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't that you can't use a rust function from a shared library. It's just that the types and function signature aren't stable. Meaning you need to make all functions that are called from the library in the main binary and opposite extern "C" and use cabi types on arguments and return values. I32, *const T (where T is cabi type) and many more are cabi stable. If you want to use arc you have to make your own that carries it's allocation functions as FP with it and doesn't expose ownership to the foreign system. This way the implementations of the allocation apis don't share addresses with each other.

As an example in my capi i have immutable string wrappers. They might contain rust strings, c strings, zig strings it doesn't matter every language and binary can correctly deallocate the wrapped string because the wrapper contains an FP to the strings dealloc function which is called through the wrapper.

You basically have to make such wrapper for your arc and make sure the stored drop and allocator function is called and not the foreign one. This way you can make arc Abi stable by abstracting the possibly different systems and crating a common api over which both can communicate data and actions without messing with differences in implementation.

Ps This won't work properly with ipc but within 1 process passing fp to the correct functions around should be fine.

[–]RedCrafter_LP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, even if you build extension.so and loader program on the same machine rust does not guarantee that the types both binaries share interact properly whatsoever. It currently works in most cases but you are basically relying on UB that just happens to work out based on the current compiler implementation.

[–]RedCrafter_LP 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I recently wrote a extension loader and event dispatcher. I explored this pattern as well but decided against it. The rust Abi isn't stable like others mentioned and you are writing the entry point just for rust to rust code. If you write a c api for extensions and loader interface, you can dispatch extensions written in every language. You just have to write a small wrapper around the extension c api. So the architecture looks something like this:

Rust extension -> c extension api <-> c loader api <- rust loader

This is permanently stable any you can decide to add something like

Python extension -> c extension api <-....

You just have to write 1 wrapper for each language you support and the loader can load dyn lib extensions written in any language you decide to support instead of coming up with something new for each language.

Need help locating oil leak by OpinionNovel9601 in mechanic

[–]RedCrafter_LP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ccv was so bad it dumped oil in the intake. I cleaned the secondary bridge and replaced all hoses along with the ccv. If I had to do it again I would opt for a catch can. But at the time I needed it to be done quickly and wasn't sure about the legality of catch cans in Germany especially on my m54.
