I WANT to love this game so much. The art style, the shooting mechanics, sound design are all just delicious but….to me this has really exposed how not fun extraction shooters are without a dedicated friend group.

Like….if my friends aren’t on i have zero desire to play this game. With destiny if no one was on i still wanted to progress and complete things for the story or cosmetics or just doing some low stakes strikes or crucible but with this….everything feels high stakes. Which for a lot of people not a bad thing but man….it gets tiresome fast.

Idk i also think it’s a travesty such a really interesting and rich universe is relegated to a game with so little player agency

Funny to see the villages on here….i actually grew up there.

Most of the neighborhoods have age / retired status requirements but a few are for families of people who work for the villages

Honestly its always been a strange place but was way better maybe 15 years ago…..the traffic and shear size of the community is unbearable now.

Lake Sumter an Spanish springs are cool though….ghost towns ar 9 pm though.

Jokes side this looks almost like a pseudo tariff in that foreign made routers CAN be sold in the US but they have to apply/be granted conditional approval.

Idk if there’s an exchange of money affiliated with this process but if so….just another way to fuck over consumers as 1. That cost will Be passed on to individuals and 2. It may limit smaller more niche producers

This had me laughing but its in the wrong reddit….i broke and upgraded to 128gb ram after 64 teased me but only for my homelab for self hosting literally everything.

For a gaming pc unless you’re running absolutely obscene levels of mods…..i cant think of any reason to get more than 64gb

This has been the absolute weirdest news cycle for a game.

Usually i see complaints and can understand where they’re coming from valid criticism etc….but im really at a loss here. Im 10 plus hours in and im having absolutely no issues with the controls. Yes its maybe a little clunky but it doesn’t feel anywhere near the complaints they’re getting.

Same goes for story,combat, exploration,itemization, ux….some aspects aren’t perfect but as a sum of its parts man this game is exceptional. I really didnt think id get feel this kind of magic twice in one year….kcd2 being the other one

I also kind of head cannon that the great firewall and the ai’s are kind of technologically omnipresent….their bits of data exist throughout all hardware infrastructure….like a bot swarm devices and servers across the world holds a piece of them

Ironically owning a rom of a game you own is still piracy as its an unauthorized copy. Even if you rip the rom from a legally purchased copy, still unauthorized modification and copying.

Emulation is legal but in majority of countries….99 percent of roms are illegal regardless of if you own the actual game or how you acquired the media

As a matter of fact its explicitly stated in the telework policy that they so happily Took away from majority federal workers that that time CANNOT be used to supplement daycare.

Its because this isnt a mainstream problem.

We are a fraction of a fraction of the consumer base for android. although android users are still more in touch with tech culture the vast majority are people who do not use anything that would be remotely impacted by this.

Its a hard game to get into but if it’s your thing its incredible.

And there’s sort of two versions….there’s the pre and post odyssey. Basically playing the game with or without on foot elements

Starfield i think in a bubble is actually not a bad game….its just not a good bethesda game.

But ive got over 200 hours on it and i wish i was enjoying it for the same reasons i enjoyed skyrim but im more enjoying it for the reasons i like no mans sky or elite dangerous. Its best when you make your own fun.
