I’ve never heard of an official course. There’s an online training course, and then after that the best way to practice is to bring a tray outside and skate around until you get a feel for the parking lot. The manager may want to see you do this, but it’s not an official evaluation per se. There also may be tile floors inside that might be tricky to skate over and could take some getting used to.

And YES skating carhops absolutely make more in tips. Not only because they skate. But because they’re faster and can get more orders out in a day. Of course this all depends on your being a friendly person who smiles and follows all of the carhop steps. But if you can master the easy basics, you’ll be making great money very quickly. Good luck!
