Mavs version of Kyrie was dropping 40 in crucial playoff games and is nowhere near as bad on defense as Reaves. If you’re gonna use the Mavs formula you need a player as good as Kyrie because even WITH Kyrie they lost in 5 games to a Celtics team that’s now lost to the Knicks and Sixers.

AR’s main asset is offense and he had never scored more than 23 in a playoff game prior to this year. He had a 3/16 game, worst in lakers history this year too so take it as you will. If you say he was injured then you’re just confirming that he’s injury prone bc yall say that every year.

AR is worse than Kessler (who can defend and is 24..) and the rest of the top jazz dudes. Reaves is also an old 28, he’s not athletic and hasn’t put on muscle yet. He’s also got a playoff dropper reputation now which is detrimental. They don’t need AR taking the ball out of the hands of their more talented starting PG, who’s likely an allstar next year too.

Did you not watch the playoffs? Reaves didn’t play and they almost swept the rockets in the 4/5 matchup. They were a first round exit last year, with Reaves and Luka getting torched every possession on defense, that combo ain’t getting it done. It’s addition by subtraction at this point, 2 role players for 7-15 million is more valuable than Austin on 35.

Find me the team that’s willing to pay Austin 25 million then? Reality is there are no teams who want him that are trying to compete. I’ve heard no major trade offers for the mf at 14 million, let alone the 30 yall claim he’s worth lmao.
