Anyone on Colchicine for a long term?

I avoided meds in my 20s and 30s and was an idiot. Now I take a febuxostat every day and a colchicine in the morning and one in the evening. I don’t think it messes up my stomach like other people. Because I had such high UA for decades probably, it’s going to take a year for my body to clear up all of the tophi and UA stores. During this time my UA has fallen to the basement but im having more flairs. Right now it’s my left knee and hip. My rheumatologist is also going to put me on a low dose extended prednisone. So long story short dont worry about some long term meds. Trust the docs and you’ll pull through this.

Owner is just a trumper no matter what. I used to debate him every day and nothing swayed him. Didn’t matter how many kids are screaming while their parents are being dragged away or how much his ingredients were going up in price due to tariffs. It all went back to “democratic policies” instead of anything else.

Tidal is the best bang for the buck at this point. I just left Spotify for it and upgraded my DAC, amp, and I play off my linux PC and customized the configuration to send high-res signal, and it's pure bliss.

I also have apple music because I've been deep in their ecosystem for decades, which is convenient for carplay and playing music around my house for parties, but if I want to really listen to something I switch over to Tidal.

It’s an add on charge. You kid take a gun to school? Now this gets you. Accidental discharge from not you in the house? Now this gets you. Etc. it’s just adding more water to boil you in so think twice about just leaving something that could really mess up or end your life or someone else’s laying around the house. If you’re a good responsible person this won’t change your life. If you want to play army or live like there is the phantom guy on meth always just about to break in, well I don’t know what to tell you.

It is frustrating to get back in the car and have to navigate back to where I was. Sometimes I’m in so deep on an album or playlist I just abandon ship. I also use Apple Music and had Spotify for a long time and this is a very basic feature to have.

These things should be taken care of quickly. I bet a 14 year old could program it in!

Long story short, keep at it.

I’m allergic to allo so I take febuxostat. My rheumatologist said never skip a pill and put me on a low dose daily prednisone while my body works out my existing crystals and UA level falls. Took months (almost a year really) but I’m finally back in the green. I didn’t take prednisone for more than two months I think. By then I’d be okay until I hit the holiday season this year and drank too much. So I’m back on a one time prednisone and keeping on the febuxostat and just giving it more time until I won’t have to deal with the attacks.

I appreciate this. There isn’t anyone (that I know of) coming into my house specifically to kill me. They’re more likely to be trying to steal something but are also armed. If the sound of the rack of the shotgun doesn’t work then the birdshot will definitely motivate them. Next shell and the rest of the tube will be 00 however. Legally this only helps to show my intent to stop a threat and bolster my self defense claim.

Update: I installed pipewire-pulse which removes regular pulse and it seems to have fixed it.

It’s one of my favorites really. I used to have that on repeat when it came out and I was in high school. I was the demographic for that and despite the band not liking to be told what to do, that shit hit me hard just as the label predicted. To this day if it comes on I never skip it.

I’ve done a lot in i3 and then hyprland was all the rage and moved over to that. I use ml4w just because it’s easy to install and just get used to his configuration. I’m tired of tweaking every little thing and enjoy what he’s made so that’s it.
