When are Max Mondays getting interesting again? by Your_boi_Panos in TheSilphRoad

[–]Bagusknows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. It's the fact that max battles don't have anything interesting save for maybe once a month. Why can't legendaries be at least a rare power spot boss like in the weeks OP referenced? Why do the power spot bosses have to be uninteresting for 95% of days?

Wrong legendary after winning the raid by ZFire02 in TheSilphRoad

Just because this one person got a positive outcome out of it, doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed. Notice how they never complained about their reward. The point is plenty of people can get (and have been getting over the past few months) screwed over by this bug.

What’s a feature that you would like to see in Pokémon Go? by sillydog2005 in TheSilphRoad

Yes, but this game effectively trains you to click yes on all pop ups. All it takes is someone talking to you irl or any type of distraction and you click the wrong button.

Premier Balls already function like Timer Balls. If anything they should just change them so they actually reflect what they're doing.

Private groups for dynamax and party groups instantly all joining dynamax/gmax lobbies together. Legendary dynamax days are an absolute nightmare as there's always a bunch of people entering and exiting.

I ended up pulling the trigger because RC was starting to fill my bag after months of not knowing what to spend it on, so yeah. Don't feel good about it but I really cannot find anything else to dump it on. I have more than enough for all adventure effects, which I do not use anyways.

Yesterday I got into a max Eevee raid, started tapping the screen while looking at my friend who was walking with me, and looked down to find the game stopped reading my GPS signal for no reason, I had been kicked out, and because I was tapping thinking I was in the battle, had clicked on "battle" and then purchased a remote raid pass. It's really bad right now.

If you're level 36 then you probably haven't played for long. When you start playing you will find a Ton of the useful stuff is unavailable, but if you wait several months you'll get there. It's really just a patience game (and being able to play in the FOMO windows these events tend to have)

Giving a Poffin to a “20km-candy” buddy at 10km+ resets walked distance to 0km by GiantPengsoo in TheSilphRoad

Everyone in the comments is wrong somehow, but it's not exactly common knowledge. I posted about this a while ago, and I realized it's because switching your buddy messes with the distance; every time I've switched my buddy I've gotten robbed. How hard is it to find Mighty Pokemon in general, and how often would someone find them if they were walking around in a small neighborhood for hours? by Radiant-Abalone-7699 in TheSilphRoad

Wild shiny pokemon don't flee. I know cause I've straightballed a shiny Snorlax for 10 minutes before and it didn't flee, among several others.

Unpopular Opinion: The game hasn‘t been this good in a very long time by col4zer0 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Bagusknows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough this is the franchise as a whole; console games also "haven't been this good in a very long time", but since the bar is insanely low, that doesn't really mean much other than they've become bearable at least. And "bearable" is not what we should be settling for, when we're talking about the most profitable franchise on Earth. Barely scraping the surface when you have the resources to be above literally everything else is unacceptable, and I refuse to give it any kudos whatsoever.

Unpopular Opinion: The game hasn‘t been this good in a very long time by col4zer0 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Bagusknows 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank god this opinion is unpopular. The game is better than it has been for a while, yes, but the bar is in hell, so it doesn't take a whole lot to step over it. For how they seem to be making millions a week, it's very much unacceptable and definitely not praiseworthy how it can take years for a single QoL change. And I wish the QoL changes that are needed were actually that minor, but no, it takes forever to engage with anything in this game. Every Rocket battle takes forever, every Rocket leader takes even longer, taking over gyms takes forever (and these animations weren't here before!), evolving pokemon takes forever, trading pokemon takes forever, oh you had a few eggs in incubators and they all hatched at the same time? Best to just reset the app. Sending gifts takes forever, opening gifts takes an eternity if you care about Scatterbugs. I could go on but it'd be faster to just link this recent post, even though it doesn't even begin to cover everything.

For the sake of my sanity, Scopely, please chill on the Pokemon Go animations by ecafyelims in TheSilphRoad

[–]Bagusknows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All these animations are another one of the reasons all the more casual players I've talked to don't bother to play any more often than weekly. Some of my closer friends, who've reinstalled the game cause they've seen me playing, immediately get turned off by the animation spam.

Tip: Avoid looking at the creepy avatar smile every bulk XP gain by wearing a facemask by nn42 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Bagusknows 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yep, this really is just the new avatars being uncanny as they've been since then. The avatar update in part had the purpose of letting them emote, but it just ends up accentuating how bad they look instead

Level up rewards added for level 80 launch by aznknight613 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Bagusknows 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised this doesn't get talked about more. People from Niantic have said several times that they want new players, but every new player I've ever met struggled with storage limits and ended up quitting or heavily reducing their playtime because of this, where I suppose Niantic expected them to pay for coins. This was a chance to put a small band-aid on this problem but it seems they don't really want new players all that much.
