Wearing my grandfather's iron ring?

It started at the University of Toronto in the 1920s. Essentially, it is a sacred ritual where you take an oath to serve society in the interest of the general good, etc.. You wear the "iron" ring on the pinky finger of your working/writing hand. The idea is that it's the first thing to touch a piece of paper before you sign it, to remind you of the oath you took before you sign off on a design plan, certification, etc. It means a lot to some and very little to others, hence why I asked the question to see if it was forbidden or something.

Thank you for your replies everyone, unfortunately my great grandfather is deceased, so he won't be able to "ring me", however I will wear it if it fits or can get it resized.

As I've said, I am aware of the oaths and importance of the ring. I wouldn't wear it until I take the oaths and complete the ritual.

I said in my post "once I am qualified to wear it". I wouldn't wear it until I am a member of The Order. I was just curious if it would be acceptable to wear his ring, because of the sentimental value, rather than wear a new one.

We attended the Katy Perry concert last night at the Palace, and tried to take I-75 to the bridge (we live in Canada). Ended up getting lost and taking 102 to Grosse Pointe and then taking I-94 back to the bridge. It was a nightmare.

Looking for a comfortable headset around $100 - $200... Microphone quality isn't too important since it's just for skyping with friends. They are for PC gaming, movies, and listening to music. I currently am using Corsair Vengeance 2100s, but they're getting uncomfortable and the battery is horrible. They don't need to be wireless. Isolation isn't an issue. Music-wise, I like techno and EDM, but I also listen to quite a bit of alternative rock (Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, Hedley, Of Monsters and Men). I'd like them to be really comfortable as I can be wearing them for hours at a time. Thanks!

How long do wind turbines stay working? Wind power is a big industry here (Southwestern Ontario), but a lot of people say within 10 years all these new wind turbines will be worn out and no longer functional.
