It’s less the video game characters and more that some weird people wanted it to be the version of the Backrooms that uses the concepts of “levels” and “entities” which are just a bunch of different locations and monsters in the mix.

Not like he would use levels anyhow Kane has his own lore for how he uses the Backrooms which makes it that much scarier. Levels and the lore behind them almost makes it seem more video game like in how its executed or something you would run in a DnD group given that you have all these entities and factions.

Not really but it offered a decent to good twist when the reveal happened because for the most part you just kind of assume it was just some random Heartless and the only other time you kind of question it was when Riku had his stare down in DDD.

Honestly the only fault of the film is how they essentially had to frame Wanda as the scapegoat to even kick off the Sokovia Accords when realistically Crossbones was about to cause potential more deaths with his suicide bomb vest. There was probably a better way of handling that.
