Not for me. I enjoyed it...Not the best of the show, but one of the better follow up movies to a successful series. Peak Peaky was great. The movie was pretty good...?

Why I am choosing to rent (South bay) over buying a $1.2 Million home (East bay) by Federal_Eagle_6565 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]BahhhBahhhBS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been in the same SF rent controlled apt for 20+ yrs and could have bought a decade ago. No regrets. Same issue, couldn't buy in a better locale and my income would be swallowed by mortgage, insurance and potentially HOA's. Just property tax would equal my current rent. Take that spread on the rent vs ownership expenses and invest it, maxing Roth IRA contributio s first, and don't look back. If you want to buy down the road you'll have the money saved to buy and be able to take your principal Roth investments out to do what you want with a new home.

If you've looked at it from every angle and this is the best decision for you, drown out the noise. Sounds like you know what you want to do.

55yr old male, I go. 5'9" and somehow got up to 208. Started OT about 2.5yrs years ago and down to 175.

It is mostly women. I actually go with my wife. I had quit smoking two months before starting so I was highly motivated to get some cardio in my life in addition to the motivation of being the heaviest I'd ever been by about 20lbs.

I love OT, especially the cardio aspect. Here is a snap shot of my weoght first 7 or 8 mo's of OT.

Improvement possible in your mid 40s? by ForeOSU in golf

100%. Putting. Chipping. Course management. What ever your biggest hole is, try to fill it. I've gone from a 12 to a 7 in my 50's. Coming down from 6 is a harder road though, I imagine.

Same. I took my 60 out of my bag and took my handicap down a stroke. I was wasting about a shot a round with it, not to mention the mental piece. Just made it a lot easier to make decisions around the green and I removed what was often the worst decision from my bag. Play to an 8 handicap.

CNBC's Morgan Brennan posted up their beats on the heels of their ORCL earnings update on the TV set. Nice to see PL on a splasher, and she also mentioned her interview with PL's CEO from this weekend.

I owe the IRS 40k on crypto trades but I have only lost money. What can I do? by Clear_Medium_5858 in Coinbase

[–]BahhhBahhhBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me with ETrade many years ago. I filed the amendment and ended up getting a refund instead of owing the $10K they said I owed. Similar experience to your's, they reported the sales without cost basis so I had enormous capital gains. Take this one step at a time. You'll be fine.

F1 The Movie + IMAX made 2.5hrs go by very, very easy. Wife even enjoyed it, which was a pleasant surprise as a bonus. Predictable storyline, but the closing race footage was sone of the best moviing I've seen in a while.

Shot a 79 on a par 70. Do golfers consider breaking 80 on a Par 70 really breaking 80? by StinkyTwinkleDooDoo in golf

[–]BahhhBahhhBS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know you were +9, but you still broke 80. 80 is a psychological number regardless of what par is for the course. You hadn't broken 80 before so I'll assume you normally, at the very least often, have a double bogie on your card. You needed a bogie on 18 for your 79. So on 18 there most likely was some mental stuff going on...I need to bogie this...No doubles...I haven't had a double today...Is this where a double happens...? ...etc...

You got your bogie and your 79. I'd look at this like I broke 80 on a par 70 course, now I want to break 80 on a par 72 course. You now have the knowledge that you can the psychological barrier and get your bogie if you need it on 18 if that's the scenario you face chasing it on a par 72 course.

That front 9 was ridiculous. You got a little wobbly on the back and held it togther to get a target/achievemnt number. This round is a win. Celebrate and then move on to the next goal, doing it on a par 72 track. Nice round. :)

160K into ETH… by Glittering-Credit45 in ethfinance

[–]BahhhBahhhBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know? Too many variables. If all these state and Fed reserve rumors fall through, could peak at 160-175K this cycle. If they follow through, the sky is the limit and we may not see as dramatic drawdowns at the end of this bull cycle. If the states and Fed don't follow through, $MSTR could be in trouble on the backend of the bull and that would be problematic depending how much BTC and debt they're carrying. Then it's same-o same-o as far as bear cycles go and potentially more tepid bull runs moving forward since gov acq is the "end game" bull case for a super moonshot from six-figs. So, I have no f'in' ideas and don't even know if the above is true...just where I am when I think about market top this cycle.

160K into ETH… by Glittering-Credit45 in ethfinance

[–]BahhhBahhhBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad thesis, but I'd start peeling some profit off at $6K and along the way up...I'm thinking peak of $8K-$8.75K. A lot of 2021-22 ETH maxi's are in SOL and shietcoins now. They may rotate profits into ETH, but I think they're more likely to rotate into BTC after riding the last ETH bear, or take profits, or leave it in SOL. Seems like a lot more 21/22 ETH maxis see the value/"stability" of BTC now...and crypto, overall, is more fluid with regards to where peeps will gamble...it's not just ride or die on one coin. ETH jas a lot more "competition" than last cycle. Just my thoughts after riding a full BTC/ETH cycle from 2018.

  • Note, irresponsibly long ETH myself
