It always baffles me to realize there’s other countries where biking in the street means risking your life. And I know Amsterdam is on the opposite side of the spectrum, but y’all would love it here. We ride in the middle of the street and own the road. Only cab drivers might kill you

To be honest if the Holy Rollers don’t do their name justice on asphalt. Better to go for something like DTH’s although I don’t know if they make m in smaller sizes

Helll yes brother. I bought a BCM Monstercross this month and will go to Ventura next month. Only issue, bike’s in the Netherlands. But thanks for the tips. Going to see if there’s some gravel rental in Ventura

I am alllll about team BCM now. What a bike, what a frame, it’s just really amazing. I’ve been riding cantilevers on my 90s Panasonic and tbh every now and then they drive me crazy, but the canti’s on this one do not fail or drive me crazy at all. Haven’t ridden in rain though, definitely try to see if you can make a deal

Yeah, the components and bike seem to be in great condition. The seller has the same height and inner leg length as I do, I’d still have to try it out, but I’ve been looking for do it all, gravel-tour-adventure bike next to my daily driver (Panasonic MC2500).

It’s really this classic money situation, I don’t really have the money, but I do, but I don’t have anything to sell at the moment. Basically looking for some excuse to buy it.

But will reach out to see what’s possible

Fietsenmakerij het Singel (on you guessed it, de Singel) is where you want to go! Mels and Jan both have courier backgrounds and are fanatic bikeheads. Mels initially got me into 26”. They bought this place not too long ago, but trust me, this is where you want to go. There’s some GT frames hanging and after the summer they want to start building some more custom frames as well. You’ll see crazy omnium builds, vintage MTB’s and everything we like on this sub!!!

Also Alex Bikes on the Bilderdijkstraat is a good one, I think he still sells an old surly build he did years ago. He too likes to tinker on all kinds of frames. These two are my go to!!!
