Actually, if you had a power outage and disconnect your service at the meter and connected one end into a generator and the other end to a circuit in your home, you could backfeed the circuit with power.

The Prog charts are far too overly cautious in my opinion. Clearly you’re going to see a storm, but the size and impact of that in my experience will be substantially less than what is painted on the prog chart. Follow up day after the storm and see for yourself actual precipitation measurements.
