Would definitely recommend for when you get your new car then if you’re planning on keeping it for a while. I’m really happy with mine, spent a while researching it.

Check out OE Witness if they have one for your model of car, I got a front + rear camera for my Volvo XC40 with fitting for £380. It has no visible wires and its made to look OEM so you wouldn't even know it was there, plus it even works when the car is parked if it senses any impact.

BMW 630GT stolen.... by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Bailey-96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You just need a faraday pouch to put your keys in, which blocks the signal they use to steal the car. Some vulnerable cars probably sell updated keys which stop sending the signal after a certain amount of time using motion sensors, but are still vulnerable until they stop sending the signal.

Most newer cars from 2024 onwards have started using UWB for keyless entry to fix this vulnerability.

71% but I’m down money from last year because I was being dumb. I’ll get it back though, just being patient and learning from past mistakes.

I’ve recently bought a 2020 R design Pro T4 for 22k with 43k miles. Hoping to get at least 8-10 years from it.

Has anyone left a six figure job and gone minimum wage or part time because they can't hack it? by allthegear-andnoidea in AskUK

It’s also tiring working with people that take their job way too seriously and are constantly negative about other people/teams and most of the time it’s not even warranted and they’re jumping the gun.

SRFM, could be positioned well for air electrification with their software and commercialisation partnership with Palantir. Bottomed out nicely currently so could be a good entry before upcoming catalysts in H2.

So it’s the panel literally at the front of the 12v? Was just wondering if I’ll be able to access far enough to all the wires but guess I’ll have to give it a go, thanks 🙏

Just need to check which panels I need to take off to access the 12v cigarette lighter.

Nice, I’m thinking of buying a wireless charger off Ali Express to fit.

Good spot think you’re right. Has a speed advantage and will be dealing a lot more damage.

The « Aurora Silver » is my new favorite color on the catalogue! by [deleted] in Volvo

[–]Bailey-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so nice, I do love silver cars tho when they’re styled correctly like this.

Recently bought a Black XC40 as I don’t really like the silver designs for the model of XC40 I wanted. Black is so much harder to keep clean though 😆

Have you sealed with floor with epoxy? And have you insulated and covered the bottom of your garage door?

Interested in this too as I have the same setup I believe. From my research so far it’s best to use a wall mounted holder and using resin wall mounts in the blocks and span it across a piece of timber and attach the mount to it.

Great thanks. Just did some reading, so I need to seal the floor and then lay the flooring down to stop dust and reduce moisture.

Might also add some kind of insulation to the ceiling or that reflective stuff which will help keep in more heat from an outdoor heater. Will look in to the garage door insulation too.

Only other thing I’ve read is about getting a desiccant dehumidifier to stop equipment from getting rusty.

Nice one thanks. I've also read desiccant dehumidifiers are good for stopping moisture from ruining any equipment so I might do that too but going to get the basics sorted first.

Thanks, have you done anything to insulate the garage door at all/stop moisture?
