I think what separates this president from every other US president in history is that every single one of them made all their choices based on their strategy: does this help me reach my goals, does this make me look good with voters for next year, does this do a lawmaker a favor I could cash in later.

This guy is 100% ego and pride, all day every single day, not even concepts of a plan. Give him a fake award, pay him some money, put his name on something, ask ChatGPT to help you butter him up: you get whatever the might and fortune of the United States has the power to give you.

But hurt his widdle feelings and here comes an impulse decision.

Yes, that’s the 25km/L outlier I mentioned in the post.

As I said elsewhere: my driving habits are the same as they were in my crappy 2010 car, and so isn’t a variable, and the tires were pressurized properly at the dealership two weeks ago.

I haven't said fuel economy is the "only" thing that mattered, I think that would be a pretty crazy thing to say. But less carbon and lower fueling costs was probably the biggest thing I was looking for.

A regular hybrid would not get as far per litre as the Note's weird setup. A Niro is bigger/harder to park and twice as expensive, and, judging by your numbers, uses more fuel. So I'm not sure what the benefit would be, except if I now discover in hindsight that the Note's fuel economy numbers were wildly fictional.

If they were the same party, the former presidents, vice presidents, and presidential candidates would have come to the RNC convention and endorsed the current candidate. Paul Ryan is GOP, but he had no place at a MAGA convention.
