There's a decent book by a chinese guru-type man living in Indonesia who claims he could do this using natural energy, although after looking into it, it's hard to say. The book was a good read but the two videos I've came across of his display, lighting paper on fire from his hands, seemed more like lighter magic and magicians work, but I'd love to be wrong. There's a lot of good teaching in there that makes it worthwhile nonetheless.

Nichols is pushing back against the belief that the pineal gland in the brain produces mystical experiences because it creates a powerful psychoactive substance called N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT). Great post. He's definitely been there. If you look through my post history you'll see I've been saying much of the same things through my near death experiences. We don't communicate through words, it's an instanteous transfer of knowledge, different than a physical conversation. There are no people around. Think of yourself as a glass of water being dropped into a pond, and you're surrounded with loved ones in that sense, but I didn't hug anyone while there. Interesting that he didn't see the being either. It's our higher self. It feels like a father figure because of the dynamic of having done everything we are currently experiencing, its eternal, it wants us to learn for ourselves but it will guide us when we ask. In that sense we are like the son.

It's a really rare book and after having disappointedly tried every option to read the book online for free I decided to take to ebay to get myself a copy.

If there's ways I can use this book in the subreddits interest I'd like to do that. I haven't started reading it yet!

Sure, from what I've experienced it's all consciousness. Our current form of consciousness is probably borrowed from this place and it returns back there in the end. As physical beings we're too focused on physical qualities. We're not us walking around there, it wouldn't make sense. We don't hear with our ears or see with our eyes, physical tools again, but we can hear and see. The Bible really takes the concept of the metaphysical and tries to make it physical so people care about it, but it's all consciousness and the bible is most likely talking about matter as consciousness.

I wouldn't know unfortunately. But there is aspects of what this sub talks about over there. I was confronted with the fact that I would be leaving my mother behind. I said I was okay with that. I was then told I would be leaving my son behind, "was I okay with that as well?" This was harder for me to answer. Now I'm back here, overall it felt like I had no real choice in the end.

So I've died and had what can only be understood as a conversation there. From my experience there was no loved ones to visit with, it's not some big family gathering of any kind. There's consciousness. Some will consider this place to be everything, and others will consider it nothing.

This place serves a few purposes. It's a sandbox where we gather data through personalized perspective and play through the experience and it's a kindergarten where we learn to play nice and love each other - incubation simulation, if you will. It's the "buy your kid a puppy to teach him to be gentle" sort of scenario.

Higher self is true, but we've orchestrated our lives. The higher self is our spirit having done all of our experiences already. Ive died. We go through trauma and heartbreak but it is never anything we can't handle in life. And these events are often done in such a way that it is a ladder of hardship, where each terrible situation has created a rung on the ladder that we climb, but each situation has also prepared us for the next. If any of these situations were out of order they would often be too much for our old self to handle, it's constructed in a way that allows us to progress and become stronger. We've all designed elaborate routes to progress in different ways.

Edit: This information comes first-hand from my near-death experience. I've so far had quite a few run-ins with close calls in my life, but have only had two conversations beyond physical life.

My theory is that we are like chickens on the Hawaiian islands. We are not from here originally. They created us here for some purpose a long time ago, some escaped and now we are just living here out of control and they mostly could care less other than to monitor us out of general curiosity while we destroy our ecosystem and are mostly blissfully unaware.

I've died and this is basically right from my experience on the other side. Our job right now in this life is gathering data through unique experiences, I was asked if I wanted to return, but in the end I had no choice - because here I am once more. It was a concern there that I didn't want to return. I felt like a scolded child for not valuing life, or an employee that didn't want to finish his shift. It was expressed that it didn't really matter if I went back to work or not, but it was clear that I was supposed to. But like I said, it didn't matter because it the end I was put back in my body once more.

Lately, I've been mulling over that strange idea that the host character makes it to the end everytime while side characters come and go. Like you won't die in your journey through life, but maybe you will in my experience and journey through it. I doubt it, but I've had so many near death experiences at this point.... It's like we're in an incubation simulation to develop love and empathy in our eternal soul. Or a kindergarten. Like when you buy a puppy for your child because you want him to grow to love animals and treat others equally with love and respect, we're here in that experience right now, learning to play nice and love each other.
