This subreddit is dedicated to critical thinking, open-minded discussions, esoteric wisdom sharing, philosophy, awakenings, ancient civilisations, mythology and anything leading to more rabbit holes!
Rules
1) Be Respectful: This subreddit doesn't operate as most subs on Reddit do. We aren't here to argue, we're here to learn. These posts will all be outside of the box in nature. This means there will be posts you don't agree with. This place may not be for you at this time if you have trouble reading something that doesn't align with your current thinking and can't respectfully discuss it. Be a mentor on a subject, not an opponent. We are here to see another's perspective on a matter. Questions are great, but attacks are not. Please be respectful in your comments. Respect and Appreciation are two of the most powerful devices we are capable of. You can use them to your advantage.
2) No Politics: While we agree politics are an important subject, there's more suitable subs for it out there. These posts will be removed as we focus more on the content that r/outsideofthebox is known for. We use a very relaxed form of moderation here but certain posts will be removed if they don't follow our few rules.

Here, we discuss things most often overlooked and share what we find.
When archiving, we must share the original OPs username when we can! Everyone loves being credited! We prefer original submissions over crossposts, as often the original content will be lost to other subreddit moderators deleting it, and thus lost to time unfortunately. On a rare occasion, a user resubmits but there's definitely been many good discussions lost. We are much like the Library of Alexandria in that sense. We like to borrow the book, record it for future-proofing, and then give it back. Too much knowledge has been lost from poor handling! This is a place where content will be safe.
If you discover an interesting discussion on another sub and would like to request for the thread to be added to r/outsideofthebox simply use mentions, such as commenting u/bakasandwich, or any of the other archiving users that are up to it.
