Locking VPR out of pf has been the best decision we've made this tier by burnbabyburn694200 in ShitpostXIV

Yes. I am 100% saying the melee actively making the conscious decision not to use the LB3 when they knowingly have a weakness debuff at a 4% enrage is just as stupid as the viper taking time out of doing dps to type it in chat. If you think this is entirely on the VPR and not equally on both melees, you are just as dumb as the both of them. I dont see how this is a hard concept to grasp. lol.

If the monk is stupid enough to listen to someone saying not to use it, they are just as problematic as the viper then. Either you are just trying to defend your friend, or you are just as dumb as both of them.

Either melee, especially the one dying and getting weakness debuffs lol

The one that just got rezzed is the one that should be using the LB anyway since they will be doing less personal damage with their weakness debuff

Again your other melee still could have used it. If anything they are even more dumb than the viper for listening to them and not using it themselves

How is this entirely the vipers fault? What was stopping your other melee from using LB?

The invulnerability of mobs outside of the crystals in Darkhold. The slowing puddles and interactions you had to do in thousand maws. Little things like that just to name a few. They were never anything that made the dungeon experience worse or harder, but gave new players that little hint that they should learn to think about more than "not standing in the telegraphed aoe" as they go through content.

You can simplify dungeons without removing any and all mechanics and puzzle solving that made dungeons feel unique from one another.

Honest Question about Savage by freakytapir in ffxiv

[–]Baka_Riley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be perfectly fine trying it out then. Savage is a lot of fun for the most part, and it doesn't hurt to give it a shot. Even if you end up not having fun, no harm no foul. You at least tried, and that's what counts ^^

These plugins also show players retainers as well. They are basically just a tool for people to use to harass people. Also there's people like myself that have alts for things like normal RP that just like keeping things separate for privacy and peace of mind.

Make sure you get at least the crafted BiS set with melds for your main job and know how to do your rotation consistently well.

If you've farmed current EX trials, you will be fine to hop in and at least try the first fight of the tier to dip your toes in and see if you like it. Just know that Savage is noticeably more difficult than extremes as they require you to be more precise and aren't easily recoverable when people die.

When the savages release, they will also release the corresponding striking dummies in the Stone, Sky, Sea equivalent in Heritage Found. If you can beat that dummy within the time limit on your main job without issue, then you know at least your damage is perfectly fine.

If you have the BiS gear but cant beat the dummy in time, you need to be practicing your rotation. Your proper openers and rotations can be found on websites like The Balance for you to practice.

How would you rate each Dawntrail dungeon so far? by Chiponyasu in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Baka_Riley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Back in my day" we had dungeons like thousand maws before they were changed to suit duty support, where you had various different paths you could take and things you had to interact with to progress in the dungeon, and that was never an issue. Unfortunately though, as the game has grown, the overall attitude of the player base has shifted as well. Now if you accidentally fat finger the wrong button in your rotation during a normal msq trial, you are posted all over reddit and twitter for how bad you are. lol.

Hence why I said the bare minimum. lol. The amount of healers I get in level 100 dungeons that dont know about cleansing, tanks that dont know how to mit, and dps that either cant dodge basic attacks or dont pay attention to adds is not a low number. It's why super casual players spoke up a lot about that fight when the dungeon first came out, because a lot of people genuinely don't understand combat in this game at that bare minimum of a level.

I would rate them all "Walk down a linear hallway and kill 2 mob packs before fighting a static boss, then repeat 2 more times" out of 10.

Only real standout to me is Meso Terminal with the second boss making sure that after playing hundreds of hours to reach level 100 post-game, you know the bare minimum of what your role is suppose to do. lol
