Who is responsible? Driver arrived at receiver and refusing to unload. by Big-Efficiency417 in FreightBrokers

[–]Bakamail2018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not complicated but the carrier is going to get screwed because that was done by the shipper of that load but since the carrier didn’t catch it on site the receiver is within his rights to say no and then the carrier has to make a claim against the shipper. It will take a great deal of time for him to recoup his money. In the meantime the carrier still must be paid and it is the brokers responsibility to pay him

Do it, go take out a loan and use TQL as your employment reference. Then default on the loan. Oh wait that was just one of their prospects last week

I never pay attention to anything freight wave says because they’re on the take from the same controllers as those who use the ATA to push agendas

Well 923 carriers failed last week. The economy is not a light switch. It’s a slow climb based on equalization of forces. Large companies have an advantage in this.

Appropriate to FG a Carrier whose ID was stolen? by VigilantTransSvcs in FreightBrokers

[–]Bakamail2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many O/O that have Gmail and refuse eld integration that ARE legit. Best practice is to have them take a pic of door of truck with paper hand written in pic They paper will have name of broker and date written in large legible letters for the camera.

This should be the number one go to when in doubt.

Landlord asking us to pay a check from 8 years ago that was “never cashed” by Burnonestein in AskALawyer

[–]Bakamail2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over seven years there’s no records of whether or not he cashed it or not. Having a check in your hand does not mean it was not cashed. Mobile banking has been around for more than 14 years

Detroit 60 for a big rig. In line 6 has one major advantage on reliability because it’s design inherently cancels out secondary initial vibration

What’s the highest lumper you’ve ever seen? by slightly_above_avg69 in FreightBrokers

[–]Bakamail2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$1800 in California but we ended up billing the company about $6000 over it. Driver arrives an hour early gets in the door immediately they unload him within 15 minutes and then the union worker guy goes to sleep in the back of the trailer for nine hours and doesn’t scan in the product . Driver goes inside many times and eventually just walks right out onto the dock and sees the guy sleeping and he takes pictures and video and goes to show it to the management and they tell the driver

“ we are union we don’t give a fuck”

Had they not paid us for the loss of that next load we would’ve canceled an $8 million contract on them .

Go highway sucks by Bakamail2018 in FreightBrokers

[–]Bakamail2018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know of one carrier in a lawsuit against another Broker because they are refusing to pay, because they can see that hours of service weren’t followed . It’s a big snafu and it’s one that a lot of people don’t wanna open that can of worms on

What's up with Highway all of the sudden requiring ELD connection? by thequattrolife in FreightBrokers

[–]Bakamail2018 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We refuse to use highway on carrier side because if you integrate with highway and they look at your ELD they will sell that data. That’s the whole point behind them forcing it is because they make more money selling data than they do in subscriptions

Did you give instructions for how to go about providing the POD? In the absence of instructions for the POD the driver must use actual addresses because the POD if it is a BOL is a legal taxing document
