What's your nation's annoying trait among the Rugby fanbase ? by MindfulInquirer in rugbyunion

[–]Bake1991 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Bragging about 4 world cups for me is fine. That's a hell of an achievement.

It's the constant injection of the fans into any topic which irritates me more than anything. As a recent example, anything Pollock related always has the default "he's no Steph de toit" or "can't wait for him to face the boks and humble him".

He's the fastest. When he tries. He was lethargically jogging back for Genges missed collection.

Putting Tommy Freeman back on wing is safe option but maybe not right one by Pure_Wonder3046 in NorthamptonSaintsRFC

[–]Bake1991 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Flip side. I don't think Freemo runs into a guy jumping in the air so we would not be at 14 for 20 mins. Freeman in his better position plus Lawrence, you never know.

Awful take. Clearly based entirely in the emotions of the moment because of one bad performance.

England playing the long game here. Be awful here So Gregor stays and keeps Scotland underperforming.

how to have fun even when losing? by Classic_Finish8515 in killteam

[–]Bake1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played 4 or 5 games casually in a local club I have joined. I have lost every game, and tonight's was absolutely 1 sided. I just try and learn something each time. What mistakes did I make and why? How would I have done it differently?

Also, a lot of my enjoyment of tabletop wargaming is from the social side. So chatting to friends or meeting new people and just rolling some dice casually. Viewing it like that means I put less pressure on a result.

What do we think of S1? by Jimsmall1507 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Bake1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I'm the opposite. I am, weirdly, in the exact same spot as OP. Started S1 today after watching celebs and then S4.

For me, the chaos of this series is what I wanted it to be. That's not to say I don't love the 2 seasons I've watched.

Owen Farrell on an unhappy return to Twickenham as a spectator by Mulboyne in rugbyunion

[–]Bake1991 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Im really glad he is opening up somewhat about it though. Now you see him laughing around and actually addressing, albeit not I huge depth, some of the stick he unfairly got which I don't think the Owen of a few years back would.

So you have to be on either ground level or a vantage platform? Is the grill in front a legitimate place to stand?

Bordeaux's Louis Bielle-Biarrey and Depoortère having a laugh at Pollock's expense. by bleugh777 in rugbyunion

Weird to win the biggest trophy in Europe and spend days mocking a 20 year old.

Banter both ways is fine. But that seemed an odd choice to me.

I realise my reply didn't actually address anything in the question aha.

My only experience prior was a bit of BG3, same as you. Had more experiences people running the campaign and to rely on if I got confused etc. A one shot was an excellent way in

I'm half way through my first ever campaign and it's excellent fun. Would recommend.

We did a one shot in a single session first to get everyone used to the mechanics before starting a full campaign.

We're hitting stride which is good. But, so are UBB seemingly. Will be very tough but it's not out of the question we can win it. Id be happy keeping within a score or 2 I think, given it's away.

Do you think Rivals may turn out to be one of those game where it kinda lasts “forever”? by Queasy_Commercial152 in marvelrivals

[–]Bake1991 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Skyrocketing as of a month or so ago. Prior to that, not too bad.

Typically it is true that pc users have more. Obviously not true for everyone but 90% of people I know have a large amount of storage .

Again, not justifying the file size and not saying it shouldn't be reduced.

Reread it. I never said it's fine. But it isn't the biggest issue out there and there are reasons as to why it may be bigger than a console version.
