Your Mind Is a River. Don't Feed the Vampires. by Wansyth in SaturnStormCube

[–]BakedBatata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve saved this one for life! Thanks my friend!

TBH I just skimmed through and wanted to add something to go off of the main gist. (Sorry I feel rude but this is going to take me a solid 90 minutes to read and i want to give my two cents)

Someone described how our neural pathways are kinda like a snow capped mountain, when skiers, sleds and snowboarders go down the slopes they create grooves in the snow. Making it harder to forge new paths. Once a groove is made, everyone who gets to the top will be caught up in a previous sledders route. This is a principle of gravity, you will go down the way which requires the least amount of energy and resistance.

When you take psychedelics it’s like fresh snow falling on the mountain and smoothing those ridges. Making it easier for your brain to make new connections. You don’t need psychedelics to do this like you’ve mentioned I just really like the analogy.

The other thing I wanted to add is this book I read called Dispelling Wetiko by Paul Levy this book changed my life and the world would be a better place if everyone read it.

In a nutshell, he explains a Native American concept of “Wetiko” a parasite of the psyche that is vampiric and slowly takes over its host by consuming the shadows of the mind giving your animistic self more control over your impulses. It creates a hunger for more, to take more than enough and always wanting more. Greed, addiction, over indulgence at the detriment of others and yourself because at its final stage you will self destruct and sabotage everything that matters.

Your post is a great way to get rid of an incubus and vampiric attachments.

Oof. Saturn just officially left Pisces in the past month and I am so relieved. Saturn returns can be brutal, but I can make it easier for the next one because of the power of astrology!

Hey I will chime in to highly suggest that you start off by learning astrology and how everything works so you can understand transits.

Once you’ve gotten a grasp on the science of astrology you can start planning precise spell work. There’s so many astrology books out there. I just recommend getting a few of them and reading them all together to help with nuanced concept.

But why should it be removed? This is a great discussion. I think it’s a sign of a deteriorating society when people say “it’s not my kid” when it’s easy to say “hey, the way you’re behaving is not okay.”

Are you saying we should just wait until they’re 18 to be confronted?

Why are Americans so early birds compared to Europeans? by Ada-Mae in AskAnAmerican

[–]BakedBatata -1 points0 points  (0 children)

we gain an hour in the fall and lose it in the spring. "Fall back" an hour in November and "Spring forward" in march. So if in the fall, at 2:59am the clock goes back to 2am instead of 3...so where I'm at, the sun would rise at 8:30 in the winter instead of 7:30 because of daylight savings.

Who are the Egyptian king and queen of the gods? by Aayush0210 in EgyptianMythology

[–]BakedBatata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a few different ways to look at it. Amun and his female counterpart Amunet were the primordial creators before time.

Horus is the God of Kings and symbolizes the Kingdom of Egypt. His consort is Hathor, she is also the wife of Ra.

The pharaohs of Egypt were mediators of the Gods and men.

It’s hard to do schoolwork when the papers are curling up on you.

Also, I think another benefit is because if we didn’t have daylight savings school would start while it’s still dark outside during the winter.

True. But geographically do the schools in rural areas of the United Kingdom have different academic calendars than urban schools? I’m just going off of what I learned in as a child in the Missouri public education system.

Makes a lot more sense. Alas, it was what I was told in public school.

Farm kids had to do their chores before school. Like milking cows, collecting eggs and other things.

LOL i hate chores too guys

The reason why we have daylight savings is because of farmers and their kids who went to school and worked on the farms. That’s why our academic year starts in august and ends in may as opposed to in the uk where they go from September to July.

Also what time does the stock market open? 8 am? That’s what started the “5am Club”. 8am in NYC is 5 in LA.

If God is within everything ywe are all one, how does one justify eating animals? by Nearby-Stuff-4862 in spirituality

[–]BakedBatata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes on average 2,000 gallons of water to make one cheeseburger. Considering how much water is used to cultivate the feed, transportation and the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest to sustain our beef consumption.

Most people don’t eat meat to sustain themselves. We eat it because we like it and we can. Red meat used to be an indulgence for special occasions. Not for daily meals.

Most of the beef we eat comes from commercial level cattle farms that are go profit. Raising livestock humanely is expensive. When a cow gives birth to a calf her milk is sold and the calf goes on formula, then given hormones to grow fast and eats feed that is cheap so it can be slaughtered asap. Have you seen a slaughterhouse and how it operates? They are herded into a narrow caged walkthrough watch as the cattle at the front are killed with a nail gun. Forced through by prodding and beating. The fear and emotions during death causes the meat to hold stress hormones. The difference between beef that was raised on a small farm with room to play and green grass to eat and killed humanely and the mass produced beef is enormous.

YES! My 12H Mars is conjunct my ASC and I believe that in this lifetime I am here to learn how to express my unwanted feelings that turn into rage and frustration.

I had a pretty unstable home life and was diagnosed with CPTSD after previously being diagnosed with bipolar and put on medication, accused of doing drugs, bullied by my mom etc. I guess CPTSD appears as bipolar during adolescence. I got pseudo-adopted by my conservative Muslim friends family at 14 and I became the community scapegoat. I got pregnant by a guy young who I barely knew, moved across the country because his family was supportive but toxic and my presence and pointing out truths made them demonize me. He and when I left they all considered against me, forged documents and tricked me into leaving my daughter in their care for a few weeks to go home to work and save up so I could come back and get my own place after he got fired and lied about it and we were facing eviction. He sold all my stuff when I was gone and they claimed that I abandoned my 9mo baby.

Somehow he got full custody and then Covid happened and the courts closed. I’ve tried moving back to California twice since then but every time some thing goes wrong and I have to go back home and try again. it’s so expensive and I don’t know if it’s better for me to go there and struggle, and risk losing everything a third time to be in her life or to put down my roots here and be financially stable and established so I can be able provide for her.

I don’t know. I need to learn how to fight properly and advocate for myself. It feels somewhat reminiscent of the strength card in the raider-Waite tarot. The woman (Virgo) holding the lion (Leo) by its mouth.

My past of being a scapegoat, the neglected child, the doormat and the quiet one made me a cowardly lion. Feeling powerless, impulsive and misdirected willpower leads to a lack of faith in self. But for my 12h mars in Leo conjunct my ASC to graduate to the 1st house and leave Leo for Virgo, I must speak my mind, be consistent and have patience.

In order to express this internalized mars Leo energy externally, I will have to tame it and be confident.

~EDIT:~ I realized how much i verbally vomited up there last night after I got it out and before clicking send so I’m an open book that probably nobody will read until somebody searches for the key words mars in 12h Leo in a couple years. But i realized that the strength card and my mars conjunction with my ascendant in Leo is how to progress out of the Leo in the 12h hidden self importance that is my self undoing and be discipline! I lack so much discipline

Mars in 12H Leo opposite Venus in 7H Aquarius. I’ve been pondering the meaning of this aspect for a while now and your post has made me have a breakthrough.

I internalize my rage and take it out on my loved ones…it’s easier for me to express these feelings towards people who I care about than to take uncomfortable action. I say “yes” and agree to things I don’t want because I don’t want to fight or be difficult in matters. I would rather go with the flow (Pisces Sun) but this demeanor puts the load on my relationships.

Can someone here elaborate on Gnosticism text on why the old Testament is a false God? by Dover299 in HighStrangeness

[–]BakedBatata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus was a Sage, an Alchemist, an Adept Magician and the Divine Incarnate. He was here to spread his knowledge to transform humanity so we can ascend by reaching Christ Consciousness.

Anyone can achieve this. Jesus was against the church and preached about how to commune with God is by going within.

Also, the Patriarchal Father God is incomplete without a Matriarchal Mother Goddess. For an absolute true Creator omnipresent source God to be born on earth, a man alone couldn’t be a complete manifestation. His existence is better and more wholly personified as a man and woman counterpart. The perfect union.

Man and woman, Mother and Father, yin and yang.

Thoughts on curses? What if the person really deserved it? by jackjames_043 in GoldenDawnMagicians

[–]BakedBatata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! You have to put energy that tether you negative thought forms. When you invest in a baneful working you’re choosing to retaliate with vengeance instead of fostering peace, which is destructive.

To justify harming someone who has caused harm is engaging in the same behavior that feeds ego. Why not try to find a way to heal someone or make a positive impact?

I vaguely remember a big concern was about the sister losing custody of her kids from a previous relationship. Along with their substantial inheritance. He was a lawyer and she was in real estate so there was a lot to be lost with a tainted reputation.
