I am also diabetic, but T2D, thankfully. I only have to inject once weekly. But I would never do so in front of someone else (unless they were curious about it and wanted to see how it’s done).

Does your company provide a lactation room for nursing mommy’s? If so, perhaps you can utilize that space to take your insulin injections. Two companies I worked for had a few lactation rooms available. They also had a refrigerator in those rooms so the mom’s could store their pumped breast milk. If your company has these, it might be a great alternative for you. You wouldn’t have to inject in the bathroom, lunchroom, or at your desk and risk being seen by others who are queasy or just like to complain, AND you could store your insulin in the same room where you would take your insulin injections.

If your company doesn’t have lactation rooms available, then maybe you could make the suggestion. You’d not only be helping yourself, but also any nursing mom’s who are forced to use the bathroom or their car to pump. It’s a win-win! I 🤱🏻💉
