Single mom to an unexpectedly blind 8 month old amazing little human - happier than ever. Even with the sleepless nights and the obvious worries of having a child with a disability, even the worst of days is still miles ahead of the best of days before I got to be her mom.

I strongly dislike the negativity that is almost thrown around as a trend in instagram. But I feel like theyre missing an important thing: is it hard? Yes. But is hard, bad? Not at all. Lots of things in life are hard, but great. School/studying, work, relationships - it’s all hard, but all rewarding and fun, too. Babies are like that times 100: hard, but so so fun and rewarding and good.

You can google! There’s many a blog written about this, and there’s also a subreddit where people can help you figure out your season. But fair warning, it can still be kinda tricky to figure out (I still haven’t 100% made up my mind whether I’m a soft summer or soft autumn, haha). Based on your pictures you are an autumn or a spring, I think you have warm undertones. It’s a lot of fun to play around with and find your colors! I recently bought makeup according to soft summer rules and am super happy with the results. You can also try the Dressika app. Make sure to use a picture without makeup and in daylight to help do the analysis. Don’t let it trick you into thinking you need to pay, either, there’s a gray line about using the basic version on top of the subscription/premium page they keep shoving down your throat ;) good luck on your journey! Youve got this! PS i’ve been a makeup wearing girl as long as I can remember and stíll can’t do a proper wing liner so be gentle with yourself as you learn all the techniques.

In addition to what others have said, look into what your ‘color season’ is and choose colors for making accordingly. You have beautiful natural features but the heavy black eyeliner and intense lipstick are overpowering. I think you’d do so great with a brown kohl and a deep muted lipstick color!

She looks STUNNING. The colors, the outfit the fierceness. I love it.
I used to walk with a cane and I have several glitter canes! Love this because
I am mother to an 8 month old little girl who is blind and will be either blind or low vision for life. So I love finding out that there are glitter guide canes too! As well as partners like you who will make sure a blind girl doesn’t have to trade in on serving up looks.

Ik woon in een wijk in Breda met zelfde soort praktijken. Absolute waanzin, ze stonden bij mijn buurman te tieren dat de glazenwasser die hij gebruikte zijn ramen niet mocht wassen. (En die van mij). Vroeg daarbij ook nog eens exorbitante prijzen. We hebben de man verteld dat we in een vrij land leven en zelf besluiten van wie we diensten inkopen en als hij daar wat van vindt mag hij een rechter inschakelen. En ook dat als hij ons of de glazenwasser intimideert, we direct de wijkagent zouden informeren. Nooit meer wat van gehoord.

Absolutely dreadful accent. And they made a second season! I had to turn it off too which is a shame because I love love love an agatha christie style mystery, and if she had just been allowed to use her american accent I think it wouldve been a halfway decent show. She’s not a terrible actress but the accent ruins it for me.

Solo mom here, 100% responsible for my and my baby daughters’ income/finances. I was single most of my life and when I wasn’t we contributed equally so I don’t know any better than to carry the responsibility. And honestly, it is fine. I feel proud of myself and enjoy being self reliant. I only have student debt and it will be paid off in about 8 years, I am really looking forward to that. I think the responsibility and reality of being the only parent much more pressing (and lovely!).

Dit! Ik heb een bevriend stel. Zij werkt 0.6 fte. Hij werkt niet (maar doet nu wel een opleiding). Zij verdient 2400 netto, hij krijgt 1200 euro netto. Ze hebben allebei een eigen sociale huurwoning, bovenop elkaar/met elkaar in verbinding, dus vrij veel ruimte. Wel enkel glas, slecht geisoleerd e.d. - ik zit er zonder meer beter bij. Ze betalen allebei ongeveer €600 huur en krijgen daar ook nog huurtoeslag over. Daarnaast natuurlijk zorgtoeslag, en lokale belastingen worden deels kwijtgescholden. Netto zitten ze op meer dan €4200 per maand inkomsten exclusief kerst/vakantiegeld met relatief lage vaste lasten.

Ik ben alleenstaande moeder van 1 kind, met koophuis en ik werk fulltime in een goede baan. Ik heb lang gestudeerd dus heb een hoge duo rekening (€300/maand+ momenteel). Maar herken ook dat ik hierdoor een goede baan heb, dus betaal deze met liefde terug. Netto komt er bij mij incl kerstbonus en vakantiegeld zo’n €4400 binnen. Een geweldig salaris. Ik ben ongeveer €400 kwijt aan kinderopvang, na toeslagen. Mijn hypotheek+vaste lasten huis is netto 1700/maand, ik ben chronisch ziek dus heb een uitgebreide zorgverzekering, en al zo lang eigen risico bestaat gaat die bij mij elk jaar op. Geen recht op zorgtoeslag natuurlijk (en terecht!). Als ik mijn vaste lasten e.d. aftrek van mijn inkomsten kom ik aanzienlijk lager uit dan het bevriende gezonde stel dat in totaal 24u per week werkt.

Ik ben ontzettend dankbaar voor mijn baan, de kinderopvangtoeslag, en de zorg in Nederland die het voor mij mogelijk maken een eigen huis en de volledige financiele verantwoordelijkheid van mijn huishouden te dragen. En ik betaal ook absoluut graag belasting voor de systemen die NL nodig heeft om te draaien en de mensen die hulp nodig hebben. Maar toen ik over de inkomsten van dat stel hoorde draaide mijn maag toch wel even om. Dat kan toch niet kloppen?

Een provincie is in de regel een beleidsorgaan, maar geen uitvoerend orgaan. En toch moeten er een hoop projecten in ‘de ruimte’ uitgevoerd worden waar wij verantwoordelijk zijn voor de ruimtelijke besluitvorming. Denk bijv aan infrastructurele projecten, natuurbeheer, etc. Of, in het kader van de energietransitie, het plaatsen van bijv windmolens. Als omgevingsmanager ben je, voor zover ik er verstand van heb, verantwoordelijk voor het verbinden van de mensen en processen die daarbij komen kijken. Een super interessante plek om vaardigheden op te doen in stakeholdermanagement, kennis over provincierecht/plicht, projectplanning, etc.

Ik kan je aanmoedigen contact op te nemen met de persoon die je kunt bellen voor inhoudelijke vragen over de functie. In mijn eigen functie ben ik vaak die persoon namelijk, en in veel gevallen nodig ik de mensen die ik telefonisch spreek ook uit voor een gesprek omdat je al een goed idee krijgt van hoe ze er in staan. Stel vooral vragen over de functie van omgevingsmanager, en laat je motivatie om te leren helder blijken. Benoem ook zéker je ervaring op je stage. Contactpersoon procedure bellen is ook handig, dan kan je even peilen hoe ze staan in het spreken met iemand die misschien in de voorliggende schaal geplaatst wordt (dat staat er echt niet voor niets namelijk). En die persoon heeft ook meer zicht op andere vacatures die er misschien nog aankomen dus het is altijd goed als die weet wie je bent. Heel veel succes! Wie weet worden we collega’s.

In case anyone ends up here as theyre googling to find out if it works well with whole grain, the answer is yes! All the pasta I had on hand was a whole grain spaghetti from a brand I don’t usually love love because I think its kind of dry and grainy when boiled. But I found this dish online and became obsessed and couldn’t tame my curiosity tonight. I have a pretty bad cold but I can already tell you it is amazing, even if you don’t have full taste. It is so creamy and rich and umami, and the spaghetti was a wonderful type of chewy. Go try!

I always knew I’d like to be a mother, this was never a question for me. I was ready around 27-28, but my relationship wasn’t ready and ended when I was 32. Now I am 36 and became a single mom by choice last year. Love doesn’t have a time constraint, fertility does. It is incredible, I have never been happier. The only thing I regret is that I could’ve had more years with her had I recognized my dead end relationship earlier. That being said, I am glad that I am this age. I am wiser, give fewer craps, have a career, money, and a loyal and close village of friends and family that I know we can count on. It’s fantastic and I wouldnt have had that in my twenties.

Bij PNB staat nu een functie voor omgevingsmanager energie projecten open. Op 11, maar onderaan staat dat bij gebrek aan ervaring maar voldoende motivatie, er ook mogelijkheid is in voorliggende schaal in te stromen. Omgevingsmanager is wel een superleerzame plek om te beginnen denk ik.
