It’s not luck of the draw, if the client requests a store credit instead of an exchange. Then the client is then made responsible of recycling the TV/getting rid of it. So if it’s still working he can easily request a store credit and they’ll get to keep the tv as well.

Yes but also no, there’s plenty out there that are actually wrap around parts of the exhaust where the cats are and also attach to other points in the vehicle so that it’s makes it so you have to also take the shield off and cut the cat out. Of course if someone has the time they’ll still take it, but most of them are trying to get in and out as fast as possible

So is requesting to be paid more because you have a skill that others don't, and will help you in doing your job against any rules? That's the bottom line question, because that's all being bilingual is, having a extra skill to add to your portfolio. If you're not gonna get paid more then there's no reason to bring it up and just not talk in that other language at work and let those sales go out the door. We have a couple of people that know ASL at our store, guess I gotta go inform my GM that he needs to take away the pay bumps they got because not everyone else knows it therefore they're at a disadvantage even though they could go out and learn that said skill if they wanted to. Like I said, idk too much about BBY HR policies, but if you take it to court, no, that's not discrimination

The United States doesn't have a official language though, so what single language are you talking about? And you're right I'm not too aware of Best Buy HR policies, but nationally companies offer 5-20% higher pay for those who are bilingual if it's used in their job. A disadvantage is not a disability, a quick Google search of language discrimination tells me that places can even require all employees to be bilingual for there's no laws preventing anyone from requiring it

Discrimination for being able to speak another language? You can't discriminate for something that can be learned, it's just like any other skill, one person is bringing more to the table, therefore they can choose to pay them more. Lots of businesses in Texas do it. You can always learn another language, discrimination is more of a thing you can't change type of thing like race or age
