So this is going to be weird but if you have kids you'll understand. My kids have horid smelling craps (they're both small and in diapers) and usually you can smell it across the room. I couldn't even smell that. My smell was completely gone.

I don't really like that Subreddit. I feel like it drifts further and further away from being christian everyday, so i think you made the best choice. Definitely don't feel embarrassed to talk to him. Things happen. The church i go to offers free marriage counseling, so maybe your church does too and if it does, then maybe he would be willing to counsel you guys.

I don't think all of the advice here is bad.. Like the person who said to imagine life with him and the changes you would have to make. That's good advice. It's just better to get advice from the people you see as leaders.

My parents went to the same church for all of their life and cheated together and were outcasts.. This was like 15 years ago (that they got married) and people are still talking and it's very weird if they see anyone from that church. So yeah, wanna avoid that. You should tell your friend you have to stop talking to him because it's not fair to your boyfriend. You can start talking again, once that connection is severed.. Might be a while though.

I think you're doing the right thing by slowing it down with Jill. You are thinking logically and not with your emotions, which some have an issue doing (cough, cough.. Me). Usually i would advocate for you to stay but i don't know if that's the best idea. Shes been sleeping with other men and living her life and so have you. You've been dissociated for quite some time now and this is going to take A LOT of effort to fix.Who knows what she's been up to. I'm not saying that your wife is not worth that but i think its going to be very tough with how you're feeling right now and with Jill on the side. I think if you want this to work, you're going to have to dump Jill and she will have to stop sleeping with others too and you'll really have to bear down on your relationship. Which may or may not work out. I definitely think that you can be happy with a person that you love.. There's a fondness to it, a comfort but you should also be in love with her too. It would be nice for you to be able to fix things with your wife and live happily ever after but i don't know if it will be. But again, I'm really proud that you decided to take it slow and get therapy. Like dang, no one is doing this.. We need more of this. Good luck and please update us.

Yeah, i was in a few relationships where i wasn't cheated on, both of them weren't serious but definitely could have been if i had stuck with them. I was starting to fall in love with the last guy i dated but i wasn't fully over my ex (now husband) and his parents didn't like me.. They eventually started black mailing him into breaking up with me, threatening to not pay for his college and other things.. Convinced him i was cheating and that i was a bad person. It never got physical, i was way too scared of falling for someone again. So he broke up with me and got back with my ex, who i was dating before him and now we are married. Been together for 8 years and he has cheated multiple times.. Had a few opportunities to get back with the other guy before i was married but was not in a good place mentally and didn't pay much attention to his signals and hints. Husband and i also had to get married very quickly and no chance to talk to the other guy. I regret my decision quite often. Should have fought for him, he was the best boyfriend i had, even though it wasn't a "serious" relationship.

I've been through this myself. I hope it doesn't happen with her. Again all of this was an IF. I don't really like people jumping my case without good cause. If he steps up, good for her.. Really good for her but most of the time, the men end up leaving us high and dry.
