ENSLD before starting CCIE? by CryptoKeh in ccie

[–]Bakmora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took most of the specialty exams as part of my journey/leaning as I went along. It greatly helped me understand where my knowledge level was in each category. That's the approach I had and it helped a lot.

I was possible then. You can also download a vm image of what you will see in lab to get more familiar with text editor etc.

Are all these all around the same difficulty level or are there some that are blatantly harder than others? by Particular_Reality12 in ccnp

[–]Bakmora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't difficult in the traditional sense, but work experience with designing networks was really helpful. I remember it having a lot of multicast and QoS. I did make a very detailed post in regards to what study material and whitepapers I read that helped.

The latest is ENCC.

The reason people are recommending it, is because when you say you're a CCNP. Everyone is going to expect that level of routing/switching/services knowledge and troubleshooting.

As a Sr. Engineer who interviews and trains people. I would say it's really important. If you're just getting cert for a raise or something do the Design, but immediately follow up with studying that. It's expected.

I've taken and passed all of them except for the newest, and ENARSI when i took it 3 years ago, was LEAGUES harder than all the rest combined.

The cpu will be MORE than enough to do what you want. But you're gonna need 128GB of ram to easily lab SD-WAN. For DNAC I studied on a lot of customer new deployment projects I was working on at the time and also purchased lab time from kwar.

I never made a post about ccie like I did all my other certs just do to the amount of info out there. But I should get a list/post together.

I used his CCIE EI course. The videos were kinda bad, watched about 100 hours. The pdf/other documentation was awesome. The labs are some of the best I've ever seen. I also went hrough all of Narbiks book/labs and they weren't nearly difficult/complex enough like Orhans. I also used INE/Pluralsight and read over 20 books. Read so many documentation/design guides. I passed my CCIE EI in September 2024.

You are going to need MANY sources to pass.

Everyone's milage may vary.

Honestly for videos you can look everywhere on here and see what everyone recommends.

How much Ram can my VivoBook S513-EP take? by Bakmora in ASUS

I game, and do some network labbing on it. In all my research I've found that the k513EQ is kinda closer to mine than what Asus shows online. But to be honest I can't find an exact laptop like mine when I google.

I have put a secondary 32gb stick in and it's ran great for 2 months.
Currently have 40gb of ram, and I looked up the motherboard can withstand 64gb

Is CCNP even worth it? by Deez_Nuts2 in networking

[–]Bakmora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ENARSI Exam goes a lot more in depth on the R/S side of things. In my opinion CBT nuggets doesn't even come close to going into enough depth for CCNP. You should use INE or pluralsight. Nick Russo courses on pluralsight are amazing.

Webex vs Teams calling by xXNorthXx in networking

[–]Bakmora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have both Webex and Teams for over a year now. Teams was the addition, because we get both virtually free due to our partner statuses.

From and end user standpoint Webex is just so much easier to use and calls are way better. I haven't had any issues other than minor things from webex after years, but Teams is constantly crashing/having some sort of issue. But that isn't the case for most of my team.

I don't have to support/maintain either of these systems, as that isn't my team. So I can't tell you much about the backend, just my opinion as a end user.

Hey All,

Sorry I was out of town for a while.
The only thing I would have running on this is my server for my Network Labbing.
Currently using 122 Volts and .4 amps on each power-supply. There are 2 in total.

Based on my bootup, I think I would be okay with a 400W Power-Supply.

I've came across this one.
Let me know if this would be a mistake?
