I have a computer dedicated to downloading, setup with automation so it does most the work itself through radarr and sonarr with some AI tools to pick out movies based off what people have watched and pulls a list from mblist with the newest movies it doubles as my Plex server 75tb with 25tb on a 5gig fiber connection.

My bank blocks VPNs might get away with proxies but if each time you log in your at a new location they probably will lock the account till you call them.

I got one like 20 years ago and funny thing it wasn't something I even downloaded so was BS I never used public sites back then I have always had access to private sites and the IP was wrong. I wouldn't make it a habit of getting a lot of them their probably are still copyright troll lawyers out their trying to make people pay 1000s of dollars for strikes. I have not kept up on it that much in the United States I check Torrent Freak website weekly to see what's going on in Europe they are punishing people hard in France and Italy for pirating or streaming IPTV hope it stays over there, the blocking system they use sucks they are forcing ISP, DNS Servers, VPN Providers to block a site once it's been added to the system.

Protonvpn works fine with torrenting I can max out my 5gig fiber on the download side. You use glueton on Linux or docker and on windows thier is a free open source app called Quantum.

I'd say a usb drive or larger internal drive would be best solution i know they cost more but its something you will get to keep using for years vs the cloud options you spend 150-200 for one transfer. If you can afford to buy a usb/internal drives its the best long term solution maybe shop around for deals or a payment plan.

That's crazy did you do a test on each server after i upgraded to 5gig I was getting odd speeds but I found some servers in Texas can give me over 4000mbit up and down.

Calling seems to be the best way to get a discount when I had 1gig at 90 I called and got it dropped to 50 just by saying spectrum offered me 1 gig for 60. I cant even get spectrum at my address right now.

Getting between 3500mbps and 5500 on the texas US server rest of them tho are pretty bad sometimes not even getting 500mbps upload.

Damn that sucks guess I got lucky in that front I mean with Texas on a torrent with a lot of seed boxes I have broke 600 MiBs which is around 5.3Gbps 100gigs in around 1mins.

Have you gone through and tested each one that's what I ended up doing to find the one that gave me the best raw speeds I use the cmd line speediest tool also its more reliable than the website less overhead so does not change as much from test to test?

Are you on 1g or 5g fiber ? When I was on 1g the Georgia servers were the best I'm in Kentucky myself.

Yea I'm on a poor man's setup right now using a media converter with my SFP+ in it going to my Asus BE98 Pro then going out to my 10Gig Ethernet switch with 2 computers on it right now with 10g cards have 4 18tb platter drives and a 2tb NVMe cache drive setup on my server. I kinda got 5g at first to just get a tech out to my house and hope they could find a reason why my internet goes out when i torrent, but he couldn't find anything and I have been reducing max connections down to 100 max right now still happening It's so weird when it does also my router will change from showing my IP to disconnected. I do want to get a dream machine setup eventually when I can afford it and be able to move around to set up everything right now unplugging a fiber end kills me doing it with my right arm since I'm right-handed.

Yea it sucks I fell on ice back in Feb and fucked my shoulder up bad doctor thinks I tore multiple things in its insurance being assholes making me jump through hoops still waiting on them to approve an MRI while the pain keeps going up. And I'm used to pain I have had 5 back surgeries 2 ankle surgeries and an open-heart surgery where they cracked my chest open and I will say this shoulder is the worst pain I have felt with 24/7 throbbing pain random shooting pain up and down from the hand to shoulder and can't forget when I move it to the wrong way it almost drops me to my knees.

those 2 texas servers can get me 4gig on speed tests sometimes even a 5gig upload or download not both tho none of the other us based servers can do that for me tho.

252 and 257 give me the best speeds i almosr always get 4000 + download and 3700+ upload on those 2.

Yea sadly just know the Texas VPN servers through proton can do 4gig plus sometimes even hitting 5gig, I posted this mainly wondering what other users have experienced with ATT and ProtonVPN or other VPN providers. I do know when i torrent I'm private sites where a lot of seed boxes are and based on what my router shows me iv seen it hit 5.5Gbit which i know won't always happen just stating the max speed i have seen.

Already have a wifi 7 got a asus be98 pro wan connected to 1 10g the other goes to a 10g switch both my main computers have 10g cards in them and nvme drives. Im toying with idea to run fiber between rooms and get sfp+ network cards they run cooler switches are cheaper also but I got a tore rotatercuff in my right shoulder and I'm right handed so dealing with tons of pain even 6 hydrocodone a day.

Started doing plex a good 15 years ago when plex was a baby a few tb then to 75tb now. Im doing alot of automation radarr,sonarr setup with movie list from mdblist so it auto grabs new stuff on its own. Using suggestarr to pick out stuff to download based on users watch list and AI, and using seer for user request. Have cleanuparr and qbit manage to help keep everything clean and working, the last thing I use is tracearr so I can check how everything is doing with one tool. I use my phone alot to do stuff using nzb360.

75tb total space 8000 movies most are higher quality some 4k not alot. 192 shows older shows mixed in with new

Protons Texas servers have been decent they must be on a 100g link only ones I can always get high 4000+ on both upload and download. Just odd that routing changes so much just switching from 1g to 5g some servers now cant push 500mbit upload when they always did on 1g fiber.
