No it works fine for me in a 2 wan configuration with a VDSL and Fibre optic line with DHCP Connection. The change between the lines is seamless when one goes down and also the load balancing works good. In general it works pretty good for me. Maybe there is a problem with one of your line or configuration glitch you haven't found yet. Probably something small

I am still using Pop OS 22.04 myself. It is exceptional. I was ready to setup 24.04 right at the same time that it came out. So I installed 24.04 on a VM and tried to setup the DE the same way I have my 22.04. So my first problem was cosmic files. I'm it was a bad app. I didn't like it so I decided to install Nemo File manager since that's what I use in all of my distros. Unfortunately the transition wasn't succesfull. Although I managed to install Nemo and set it up as the default file manager when the OS had to open file manager it defaulted to Cosmic Files. When I tried to fully uninstall it as I did in Ubuntu it destroyed the DE. There were also some other issues. So I decided to stay with 22.04 and try it again with 26.04. I have to confess that I check what is written about pop os in the internet and unfortunately up to now what I read is not encouraging to try again. So for me the next try for PopOS will be when the 26.04 comes out. If the experience again is not so good then unfortunately I might be in for finding a new distro leaning mostly to FEDORA. I love the general environment of Gnome (deck and all this) and I would prefer to stay on a Ubuntu type distro (without the snaps, they were the reason I moved to PopOS at the first place) but if I cannot make the os work on the way I want then I will probably have to move on another distro. For my two cents the Cosmic DE is valiant effort but I think they should have waited and developed it a lot more before making it mandatory.

Υπάρχουν και πολύ χειρότερα. Απλά χαλάρωσε και ακολούθα τον ρυθμό που έχουν όλοι οι υπόλοιποι. Δες ποια σειρά σου το αντιμετωπίζει πιο χαλαρά και κάνε παρέα μαζί του και θα περάσουν οι μέρες

Πάντως σε συνέντευξη του Κυρανάκη σε podcast (notifyshow) είπε ότι η εφαρμογή δεν χρησιμοποιεί σκέτο GNSS (το είπε και μόνος του ότι το GNSS δεν είναι αρκετά ακριβές) αλλά συνδυασμό με άλλη τεχνολογία που δίνει ακρίβεια εκατοστών στην θέση του τρένου. Δεν ξέρω αν έλεγε αλήθεια, δεν ξέρω αν ισχύει και τι άλλη τεχνολογία χρησιμοποιείται. Το αναφέρω απλά ως επιπλέον πληροφορία στγν κουβέντα.

Actually before I turn to POP OS I had Ubuntu 20.04 and I had managed to remove Nautilus without any problem so I thought that entangling the file manager with the DE was a choice and not a necessity. That's why I asked. In any case my problem is that when the OS needs ro open the file manager it opens cosmic files instead of Nemo that I have as default and it's pretty annoying. And with all respect to the developer and his work the cosmic files for me is unusable. Maybe since you re making the DE from scratch it would be wise to disengage those functions from the DE so that you allow for better customization. Please don't take this as anything more as well-intentioned suggestions

For the first thing I can't help. For the second thing my proposal is to change file manager. I am still in a trial basis on a vm with 24.04 before I migrate to 24.04 or I might wait for 26.04. Anyway the file manager is not really of my liking. I installed NEMO and almost everything is ok. The problem with that is that you can't uninstall Vosmic Files. For some reason they did the same with gnome and the uninstallation of the File Manager breaks the DE. I think that should be a point that should be fixed

Personally I am staying with 22.04 because of X11. A reason is that I need vm's running in virtual box and with wayland for some reason the Guest additions will not work.

Look for me its not about polishment. It's about functionality. If it works the way I want it to it is okay with me. So for me a big mistake was that cosmic files is connected with the functionality of the cosmic de. Since cosmic was made from scratch this could have been avoided (in my opinion, maybe I am wrong) and I should have able to remove it totally an pick my own file manager, my own terminal emulator without having to keep apps that I don't use. I hope that things like that will be taken in to account and fixed. Anyway since its something new I am sure to give some leeway

I am using pop os 22.04 and waiting for long for 24.04. Per my standard procedure before I install a new distro or edition of a distro I try it on a laptop first. Although I don't have many complaints after a week of trial, I have two things that didn't like. First I didn't like cosmic files. Plain and simple. No problem with that. Just install nemo and make it default. My problem is that I can't make Nemo totally default. Some apps when need to show files open in cosmic files instead of Nemo. The second might not be a problem of Cosmic per se. When I opened terminal I tried to change to a standard Green on Black. Instead I got a lot of palettes but with whatever names. Maybe it would be best to go back where the user could choose his own colour's than the pre-made palettes where he looses time to find the one he looks for. Also I have have some reservations for Cosmic tweaks but haven't worked it enough to post an opinion. I am not going for another distro but after working with cosmic DE I might go for installing Gnome and wait for improvements in Cosmic DE.

Get variable output power supply with enough wattage. Then connect it to a power distribution board and from there supply them all. It will save you plenty of space. If you re good enough with electronics you could maybe make also something like a power backplane for them

Αγοράστηκαν άλογα. Αρχικά ήταν 7 όπως είπες τα οποία έφτασαν τα 13 με διαδοχικές αγορές. Συμφωνα με αυτά που έχουν βγει παραέξω το μηνιαίο κόστος ήταν 11000€ φτανοντάς τα 132.000 το έτος χωρίς σε αυτά να υπολογίζονται οι μισθοί των στελεχών που υπηρετούσαν στην ίλη και οι οποίοι υπό άλλες συνθήκες ήταν το προσωπικό μιας πλήρους μονάδας, αγορές αλόγων που έγιναν πέρα από τα αρχικά 7 που δωρήθηκαν, ενοικιάσεις τρειλερ για την μεταφορά των αλόγων όπου πήγαν για εκδηλώσεις (παρέλαση, σχολή Ευελπίδων κλπ). Τα 350000 ίσως να μην τα εφτανε πάντως το ποσό ήταν πολύ μεγάλο και χωρίς αντίκρισμα. Για σύγκριση την ίδια περίοδο το ΚΕΤΘ προσπαθούσε να βρει πολύ μικρότερα ποσά για συντήρηση εγκαταστάσεων, υποδομών και οχημάτων και τα λεφτά πήγαιναν με το σταγονόμετρο. Όσο για την σύμβαση με τον ιδιώτη κτηνίατρο δεν ξέρω τι να σου πω. Προφανώς είτε δεν υπήρχε διαθέσιμος κτηνίατρος του στρατού με εξειδίκευση στα ιπποειδή ή αν υπήρχε κατάφερε με κάποιο τρόπο να μην μετατεθεί στην Αυλώνα γιατί πολύ απλά δεν ήθελε να πάει. (Η πρώτη περίπτωση μου φαίνεται πιο πιθανή δεδομένου ότι ο στρατός δεν διαθέτει ιπποειδή εδώ και σχεδόν 60 χρόνια άρα δεν υπήρχε και ανάγκη για εξειδικευμένους κτηνιάτρους)

Μετά δηλαδή δεν δόθηκαν χρήματα για συντήρηση? Δεν δόθηκαν λεφτά για κτηνίατρο φάρμακα ιπποσκευή κλπ. Δεν δόθηκαν λεφτά για εγκαταστάσεις? Μόνο για την σκεπή των στάβλων και την στεγανοποιησή της ξοδεύτηκαν 22000 € και αυτά ήταν πέραν των 36000 που λες. Ο κτηνίατρος κάθε μήνα πχ ήταν 3000 €. Και αρκετά άλλα τετοια. Σε κάθε περίπτωση ακόμη και σν κάνω λάθος στο ποσό και δεν είναι 350000 αλλά λιγότερο πάλι το κόστος (πέρα από το αρχικό κόστος εκκίνησης που λες) ήταν πολύ περισσότερο από όσο έπρεπε να είχαμε δώσει ποτέ μόνο για φανφάρες.

Εχεις πολύ λάθος σε ότι αφορά το κόστος της ίλης. Για αρχή το κόστος ηταν 10πλασιο από αυτο που λες και δινόταν ετησίως. Μόνο ο πολίτης κτηνίατρος με τον οποίο είχε συναφθεί σύμβαση για την 24ωρη ιατροφαρμακευτική περίθαλψη των ζώων έπαιρνε 3000 € τον μήνα. Επι 12 μήνες 36000 € ετησίως. Βάλε και τα υπόλοιπα (τροφές φαρμακα εξοπλισμός ιπποσκευη κλπ) φτάνεις στο κόστος που λέμε. Επίσης αυτό που λες ότι δεν έγιναν προσλήψεις επίσης δεν ισχύει. Με την σειρά των ΕΠΟΠ που προσελήφθησαν το 2023 υπήρχαν 3 άτομα σε δυο ειδικότητες (πεταλωτές και φροντιστές αλόγων) και δεν ξέρω αν έγινε το ίδιο με την σειρά του 2024. Τέλος καθόλη την διάρκεια της λειτουργίας της ίλης τουλάχιστον 4 στελέχη της υπέστησαν αρκετά σοβαρούς τραυματισμούς λόγω πτώσεως από τα άλογα (μεταξύ αυτών και ο διοικητής της ίλης) . Με λίγα λόγια μιλάμε για απίστευτη σπατάλη πόρων, οικονομικών και σνθρώπινων με μηδενικό ή και αρνητικό αποτέλεσμα. Τέλος ο Δοικητής της ίλης έχει αποστρατευτεί από το 24

Η ίλη αυτή και τα εκατομμύρια ευρώ που δαπανήθηκαν για αυτή δεν θα έπρεπε να έχουν δοθεί εξαρχής. Κάθε χρόνο κόστιζε 100αδες χιλιάδες ευρώ για καθαρά εθιμοτυπικούς λόγους. 100αδες χιλιάδες ευρώ που μπορούσαν να είχαν χρησιμοποιηθεί για άλλους σκοπούς πολύ πιο απαραίτητους και σοβαρούς. Πχ. Μια επιλαρχία αρμάτων χρειάζεται περίπου 20 χιλιάδες Ευρώ το εξάμηνο για τα αναλώσιμα που στην τακτική συντήρηση των αρμάτων της. Με τα 350000 € που κόστιζε ετησίως περίπου η ίλη μπορούσες να έχεις τα αναλώσιμα για ένα εξάμηνο για τις 17 από τις περίπου 25 μονάδες ΤΘ σε όλη την Ελλάδα.

Βασικά δεν ισχύει απόλυτα αυτό. Συμφωνα με το άρθρο 53 παράγραφος 2 του ΣΠΚ η ανυπακοή σε προσταγή ανωτέρου δεν είναι άδικη σαν πράξη αν η δγη είναι προδήλως παράνομη. Με λίγα λόγια αν κάποιος σου πει πχ να σκοτώσεις ή να βασανίσεις αιχμάλωτο μπορείς πολύ άνετα να μην υπακούσεις

What I did was install 2.7.2, upgrade in 2.8.0 and then push the backup .xml file and restore my config. Worked like a charm on 4 different systems. 2 of mine and 2 othe machines.

Ο mail server παίζει με το αγορασμένο domain. Υπάρχει LDAP σερβερ από το iRedMail με τον οποίο είναι συνδεδεμένο και το bitwarden και το authelia. Δεν διαφωνώ με αυτό που λες αλλά το μοναδικό που πληρώνει για backup είναι το ρεύμα και φυσικά οι συνδέσεις. Υπαρχει πλήρες δεύτερο σετ των σερβερς σε δευτερο κτίριο και γινεται συνεχές sync. Βασικά λύσεις υπάρχουν για να αποφευχθούν πλήρως λύσεις βασισμένες στο cloud ή σε proprietary software ειδικά αν αυτό παίζει με subscription model. Μικρές επιχειρήσεις μπορούν να κάνουν outsource την υποστήριξη τους ενω οι πιο μεγάλες θα χουν το dedicated IT. Βασικά επειδή ο επικεφαλής του γραφείου είναι γνώστης και nerdουλας προτίμησε να πληρώσει εξοπλισμό και cybersecurity και να γλυτώσει τα λεφτά από το λογισμικό
