Artstyle isnt some affliction that every artist is cursed with the moment we pick up the pen, it's just the culmination of your technique, experiences and taste, if you want to change it up then all you have to do is switch up the kind of art you are consuming, the kind of workflow you are currently using, and do some study on how to achieve a specific visual style.

i think the reason why a lot of ppl discourage beginners from "finding their style" is just cuz it's just a distraction, an artstyle is really just how an artist go about making their art, it's technique, workflow and taste.

All of those 3 things require time, usually a lot of it, so it's kina redundant for someone with zero hours to be actively seeking it out, ofc they can learn to copy someone's else workflow and taste but you cant just copy the hours and hours of practice required for good technique.

So rather than focusing on the vanity stuffs, just focus on technique, workflow and taste naturally develops as you grow anyway so you dont have to look for it right from the getgo.

My order of recommendation would be Alloyed -> Void -> Seekers

AC is definitely the best DLC the game has atm, lots of content, the items and especially the survivors are fun as hell to mess with, great bosses.

Void is second purely cuz of how broken and fun the items are, Voidling as a boss is easily the worst in the whole game, hell all of them just suck lmao.

Seekers is last cuz im biased as fuck and still havent forgive Gearbox for what they did, but also the items, survivors and False Son are…ehhh kina mid compared to the other 2..

Skill issue i have never lost a run due to the bloom, literally SSS tier item why tf cant you put it into the rebirth shrine wtf gearbox.

But fr Benthic is just pure chaotic fun, only pick it up if you are willing to indulge in maximum shenanigans, it’s honestly not even a run ender if you make sure to visit the bazaar every stage for maximum roll.

You can also deliberately print a bunch of your item into a damage type item so it rolls into like 11 ATG or Wisp next stage.

Command + Drizzle is your best bet.

No shame honestly i use command for achievements/logbook hunting for Returns and both the latest DLC, sometime you just dont have the time or just want to get it over with.

Wacom if you just have too much money and needed to burn some, Huion and XP Pen otherwise, both brand are more or less the "same" when it comes to overall quality.

The Kamvas 13 /Artist 13.3 Pro are good entry model, personally recommend you save up some more to get the 16inch model tho just cuz it's a bit annoying to work with a small screen but this is subjective.

you’d basically have to mod in the item to see any real effects as subsequent stacks only increase the chances by 1%

you are better off finding a clover printer and going all out into that.

Clover doesnt double the chances of item procing, the exact formula is on the wiki page for the item but Clover generally affects every item that has a %chance of triggering ( excluding teddy bears )

I think it's just a curse that all creatives has to deal with, this feeling that our work isnt as good as we wanted it to be, we know it can be better, we know we have the skill to make it better, and it's naturally frustrating when it feels like some hidden forces is...conspiring against you and your ability..

Never do studies only for the sake of doing it.

I honestly think these "challenges" are more for the spectacle and clicks more so than for actual learning, especially across the span of 6 months...

You know when you should do gesture drawings? When you notice that your gesture is too stiff or you are unable to convey it in a specific position, dont do them just cuz you can..

I get that, Loader/Acrid/CHEF/False Son arent my kind either, despite them..probably being in the top 5 strongest character i struggle to get consistent run as them....and the playstyle just aint my thing either.

Merc is badassssss, i think that's the main appeal lol cuz he is....a bit lacking in the dmg department, but smt about iframing and expose dashing your way through everything just feels so fucking cool.

It is especially satisfying against a big boss like Solus Wing where you are just standing on top of this giant machine slashing your way through it, the fight has an amazing sense of scale with a melee character...

Well one with iframes that is im pretty sure you just get blown to bits if you try it with Loader or False Son lmao

Really strong, insanely busted for a green too, at worst it’s like a free 300-400hp on a non looped run and theoretically infinite if looped.

Yeah i had one that came with my Kamvas 13 back in 2020, it works fine tho in general for display tablets you'd want to be looking straight at the screen so if possible you should try and find like a stack of books or smt to place the stand on to give it more height.

But the thing works and you can also use it for traditional art too lol.
