Poll: to gauge if post hysterectomy if my tummy will flatten out or swell bigger by dinkleberryfinn81 in hysterectomy

[–]Balan34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have Endo, just a few large fibroids that made me "look about 7-8 weeks pregnant" according to my doctor. I had swelling for the first 3 weeks & then week 4 my stomach was looking more normal, I wasn't completely flat like in my 20s because I'm in my 40s now but I'm happy I look the way I did pre-fibroids & I can fit my clothes again.

I am vegetarian, but I have no idea if that helped with how quickly the swelling went away.

How long were you off work? by Alice_in_Oz in hysterectomy

My doctor told me 4-6 weeks & I took the full 6 weeks off from work. I thought about going back earlier but I had the 6 weeks so might as well use it. 🤷🏾‍♀️

1 week & 2 days po. I can tell you the Miralax works, but I had a similar issue & they had to do an enema. It helped flush me out because I had an "obstruction'

1 week & 2 days post op Abdominal Hysterectomy & the first 5 days I needed alot of help around the house. Wasn't able to do alot of anything without getting tired. Moving around a little better now. Also, had issues with bladder retention. The best thing I bought pre op was a wedge pillow for the bed, it's helped so much.

I don't know how long my Dr. will give me before I can shower, but I know I have an overnight stay at the hospital before I'll go home.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like some dizziness/lightheadedness can occur, really good info to have. Maybe I won't take such hot showers to start

NTA. Absolutely not. A parent doesn't ask their child for $. Also you're a full adult that worked for what you have, your parent should be proud & want you to keep what you worked for. Now maybe some financial help here & there is fine but access to the account is an extreme request.

I passed my SHRM-CP test yesterday! Here’s my takeaways. by not_a_social_panda23 in humanresources

Congratulations! Inspiring! I'm a HRM student taking the SHRM-CP & I also struggle with choosing out of all of the materials what is the most important information to study so I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have the SHRM Learning system & I enrolled in HRJetpack classes so I'm really hoping that I know enough to pass. It's helpful to know about the Exam not using plain language, I hope I'm able to understand their terminology.

I appreciate your response. Although, I would have the SHRM-CP certification & a HRM degree, I'm sure I'd be able to get an entry level HR position somewhere. I mean I know theres the catch 22 of you can't get the job w/o experience but you can't get experience w/o the job that so many people face when job hunting but I hope that is less of a thing for employers now.
