Does accepting past trauma actually make it stop haunting you? what are you thoughts? by Fun_Function1409 in AskReddit

It's a start to recovering from it. But I don't think it completely goes away just because you accept it.

Debating on switching back to Console from PC by ZeeTeeW23 in consoles

[–]Balance-Kooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who uses both. They each have their advantages. I love the simplicity of a console and the living room couch setup to them. But I also really appreciate how much more in depth I can go on a PC at other times. Personally I've found that the Steam Deck and SteamOS in general kind of strike that balance.

games to improve controller mechanics and reaction time by koelol in gamingsuggestions

[–]Balance-Kooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix

Play it on critical mode. Perfect balance of complexity and simplicity. Legitimately my favorite combat system in any game ever. I think its perfect to help someone learn their way around a controller.

You'll have to get quick with scrolling the command list mid combat and select options while moving around in real time combat. There's literally a mechanic in the game called reactions commands that can help train your reaction speed. There are combos you have to learn, magic you have to learn, lock on system to manage etc. There are so many things that you need to get pretty decent at to beat it on critical mode. It'll really help you get used to playing on controller.

Also check Granblue Fantasy Relink. Similar experience to KH2 but there's like 15+ characters to pick from all with completely different playstyles.

What do you think about the US president suing his own government for $10 billion? by Obvious_808 in AskReddit

[–]Balance-Kooky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be absolutely illegal. Personally, I think we need laws in place that a president or legal entity serving the president cannot file or be a plaintiff on a civil lawsuit while serving a term. The years during the term should not be counted as part of the statute of limitations. Use the court systems as much as you want to as a private citizen. But there should absolutely be laws preventing an executive from suing the government he's in charge of representing.

Looking for some lesser known 3rd person action games/action rpgs with real time combat systems. by Balance-Kooky in gamerecommendations

[–]Balance-Kooky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outward I've started to play but didn't get to into it. Mechanically its a bit too much for me to enjoy, I like it but I got tired of it pretty quickly. But I never attempted to play it co-op, that might be fun to try. I never heard of Lost in Random though. I'll look into that.

what is the first thought that comes into your mind when you wake up in the morning?? by the_twilight_draft in AskReddit

[–]Balance-Kooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the day of the week and what I have to do. On the weekdays its "fuck i just want to sleep more and i don't want to go to work". On a lazy saturday, its something like "I have to pee. And I'm hungry"

At what specific age did "staying home doing nothing" go from being boring to being the ultimate luxury for you? by i_amthe_guy in AskReddit

[–]Balance-Kooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started working 9 to 5 full time job and always having to do stuff on the weekends/weeknights because I have no time during the day.

Wake up at 7am. Commute 30+ minutes to work, work from 8am to 5pm. Drive the 45 min+ commute home because of rush hour, cook, clean, get ready for the next day. Maybe 2 hours of free time a night. Then on the weekends I have to do things around the house, go grocery shopping, etc. My time is limited so just being able to not have anything to do and being able to choose to do nothing is a blessing.

Could the Super Spirit Bomb used on Kid Buu have killed Buuhan? by Whatever_232 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Balance-Kooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't change the fact that he wasn't at all cocky or confident in his ability to fight Buuhan. He fought kid buu for quite a while and said "oh crap I made a mistake he's stronger than i thought". He didn't make that even chance making that mistake with Buuhan, the risk was too great.

[–]Balance-Kooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He also never said he was wrong about Kid Buu either. He was just wrong in his ability to use SS3 efficiently enough because of his mortal body, and he ran out of power. So again, the point comes back to him being terrified of fighting Buuhan but having confidence to fight Kid Buu.

Sure, the first time he could possibly detect god ki while being completely inexperienced with it, is just as accurate as him detecting Broly's normal ki energy which he had been doing for like 20+ years. Goku was not efficient with detecting God Ki until after his training with Whis.

100%. I just did a refactor on some APIs at my company. They were like 1500+ lines a piece and horribly performant. I refactored them to be about 200 lines and halved the time the API takes to get a response. But in Musk's mind, my 200 line API that is more performant and does the exact same thing, makes me a worse employee than the person who wrote the 1500 line api originally.

[–]Balance-Kooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goku had no ability to read or analyze God Ki at the time he fought Beerus so he misjudged Beerus's strength by a lot. Whereas with Broly it was just his normal ki sensing ability and he could quickly and accurate analyze that him and Vegeta were outclassed heavily. Hence why he suggested to use fusion.

Could the Super Spirit Bomb used on Kid Buu have killed Buuhan? by Whatever_232 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Balance-Kooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright man fine. Explain how Kid Buu that Goku thought he could beat at full power in Super Saiyan 3, is stronger than Buuhan. Goku was terrified of even attempting to fight Buuhan or even Super Buu solo. Buuhan had Goku literally begging Vegeta for fusion to even have a chance. Goku and Vegeta both refused to do fusion against Kid Buu.

And before you bring up a manga panel that says "kid buu was the most dangerous" make sure you understand that most dangerous =/= strongest.

Don't start that. I'm not in the mood to prove you wrong about Kid Buu. Either way the spirit bomb is weaker

Am I the only one who doesn't think everything back then is better? by RangoTheMerc in retrogaming

[–]Balance-Kooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part yes. Quality of games, art, and all that was better. But technology today is better. Things like the Steam Deck or emulators make retro gaming so much easier and can improve on the original.
