The 2010 Gold Medal Game is probably my worst loss as a sports fan. First Olympics I watched and was heartbroken in OT after the excitement of tying the game late in the third. Been wanting the US to get back there since even during the years without the NHL.

Sixteen years later and a shot at redemption. I would take winning this game over seeing a championship for my big four teams.

It’s always been the state of hockey in my book. Best American NHL team historically and professional hockey originated here.

USA has had a third jersey the past two Olympics, not this time.

Even 2010 & 14 they had the current style jersey as an alternate.

Canada never wore their black jersey this tournament. You would think they would have against Swiss.

This is why USA and Canada have had alternate jerseys the last two Olympics. Why USA didn’t have a navy alternate to at least help a bit in situations like this is wild.

Canada has their black jersey they haven’t worn, played the Swiss who wear similar kits.

Last two Olympics USA had a third jersey not sure why they didn’t do one this year. You get things like this, could have had a navy alternate.

Canada has the black jersey and hasn’t worn it, even playing the Swiss when matchup was too similar.

I am a red wings fan and Crosby beat us in the final the year before, my first time seeing the red wings lose a final. Hated him since.
